ok
1. The BRPD's job isn't to get La'el Collins cleared before the draft. They are there to investigate a murder.
2. While La'el isn't a "suspect", he is definitely a person of interest. Meaning they may not have anything to indicate it was him, but they know of a relationship between the two that would make them want to clear him before they rule him out.
3. Chicago probably has crimes of their own. So i don't think La'el would just automatically jump tot he front of the line for a crime that happened in Baton Rouge
4. THey were going to have to do it themselves. or deal with having to call in Chicago lab techs and experts in case they actually decide to bring charges against collins.

Exactly. People acting like they would go conduct the investigation in Chicago. I mean, come on.

Surely you aren't serious! Dude, they just have a tech secure identification and secure the samples and overnight them to whatever lab bRPD asks!
The samples can be processed anywhere nitwit

any leaks to what collins' alibi actually is?

at least one person is not a totally delusional LSU supporter and your post got 28 down votes SMH. The delusion of some of you is laughable. The aren't blowing this up the week before the draft for no damn reason. And no one comes to someones door and shoots them for no damn reason I've heard nothing about anything being stolen so obviously there was a personal motive.
I hope he is innocent but reading between the lines things don't look good.
These day after the issue with the Atlanta Olympic Bombing they rarely refer to someone as a suspect until they are ready to charge them.

the vast majority people initially questioned or interviewed in an investigation don't have a lawyer present.
Then they are idiots.
Reading this thread is making my head hurt. When the police talk to you, get a lawyer.

Collins soon to be baby mama was shot possibly in the torso region by someone she must have known, wasn't a burglary, collins upon contact for some innocent questions immediately lawyered up with a prominent murder attorney and they started doing their own PI work to attempt to present an innocent case bc la'el wasn't around there. There has been some delay in meetings with the brpd by one or both parties. brpd, "isn't ready yet" to meet with la'el...needs to prepare more/investigate more... wth is that if we're dealing with a super innocent person asking super innocent questions.

about the burglars actually burglarizing?
Posted on 4/30/15 at 1:24 pm to lsupride87
All yet still possible.
You have even less to work with at this time to present an innocent case.

all we're really dealing with is possibilities and appearances right now. If you can't handle people's thoughts on these, than stop reading them. Would you be all so pissy still if this was an auburn tiger? I can only speak for myself, i'm just giving as objective thoughts as possible on the appearances of what we know so far. frick Yeah, La'El can be 100 damned percent innocent... but... we don't know and i'm speculating based on what little we have.

Ummm, yeah. You might not want to compare La'el's case to that one. That investigation isn't finished yet. Hopefully these two cases aren't similar.
