Everyone should sit back and realize you don't really know anything about the situation. Collins most likely won't be drafted as the teams don't know anything and none of them want to be the GM that drafted a murderer. It will get resolved and if he is cleared he will sign with whoever he chooses.

not ready for him"... this just doesn't help paint the picture of brpd not actively thinking that he could be a possible suspect...

Winner winner, chicken dinner.

IMO, it does not look all roses for LC if they want to wait to speak. If he wasn't some sort of suspect and they were talking to people just to gather info, there is very little reason they wouldn't have stopped and took time to interview him.

IF LC came back to town and they then sent him away without interviewing him saying " we aren't ready yet", IMO and those around me, this isn't a great sign.

Think about it, if Collins had info to help them find the killer, they would have spoken with him immediately.

Let's discuss this for a second. Using Occam's Razor, do you think that they had no way of contacting him, or has he been avoiding them?

I don't think the Saints or Patriots give a damn how the media perceives them.

If he gets charged, you cut him. Easy as that

A paternity test could have been done in Chicago quickly and easily. Seems prudent to quit trying to read into everything and wait for real information.

That usually only works if you're dealing with a competent police force. This is BRPD.

Actually that is reporting.

Yes and no. It's muckraking. At this point, ESPN and others are in a race to scoop each other on character "issues." It's now a boutique reporting industry. The teams know way more than shefter and co. because they hire heavy hitting PI's from the FBI to get as much info as possible about their draft investments. In comes shefter to pick up the crumbs from that table, such as "Jalen Collins failed a drug test his freshman year," which, really no longer has any bearing on today.

He answered the first time they texted him requesting his presence. I wouldn't say avoiding but stalling since a phone interview wasn't on the table

You can take a sample at ANY police agency in America or any lab in America.

Picture in your mind tha NFLs urine testing policy.

Paternity tests are DNA now and is a simple swab in the mouth. Blood is pretty antiquated method.

Prospective draft picks receive a thousand calls a day leading up to the draft. Using Ockam's Razor, do you think it's more likely -a) that he missed the call among many others or b) that BRPD has been calling him off the hook like a desperate teenage girl and he's been plotting away by not calling them back because it's part of his master plan to get away with murder?

There might not even be any reason for him to have expected to hear from BRPD, if he had nothing to do with any of it.

fyi, DNA testing is not a quick process by any means. Don't let CSI fool you into thinking it can be done in a couple hours. It usually takes weeks. At bare minimum it takes several days

Why not fly home and do interview, if your stock is in the crapper anyway. Chance to clear yourself and possibly save draft chances.

He did exactly that, but they're not meeting till Monday. So, what is your point?

for all you or any of us know that was intentional to try to get collins to come in and interview. he may have been shutting them out prior.
