O doesnt want to burn bridges at home like what happened in USC. He will likely stay until he gets a P5 chance.
The most sense I've heard in the past 24 hrs give O a raise and get our guy

How can you idiots even place Fedora in the same category as O? I swear our fan base is the biggest bunch of idiots.
Fedora is a far better coach. He actually develops his talent and has a feel for play calling. He has proven he can take programs that are bad and make them much better. He won a championship at a mid major conference beating the likes of Dlin with that undefeated Case Keenum offense and also has beaten FSU among other P5 schools that are MUCH BETTER THAN ANY SCHOOL ORGERON HAS BEATEN THIS YEAR.

That's almost as frustrating to hear as it was to watch LSU score 10 points between Alabama and Florida.

If Orgeron were telling people that he is staying regardless, he would be the worst negotiator in the history of negotiations.

Hope this is true. People are bashing O but he is a great D line coach and did a decent job as interim. I just don't think he's ready for a big time job like LSU. I hope he stays as the D line coach for another year and sees if he can get a HC offer at another school.

This makes a ton of sense. If O is smart, he'll do this, take mid-major job, then get a P5.

Hopefully O picked up on this, as the direction LSU is headed

quote:so recruiting for HIS OFFENSIVE PHILOSOPHY was bad? You are dumb. Ask So miss alumni if they would take him back and all would say in a heartbeat. He recruiter some kids from La. as most on here say lsU recruits itself.

That's why you hire good coordinators like Jaluke and Aranda and O.

Best part about your statement is he's willing to stay if Herman is HC. That would be a home run.

I never said it was O's job. Just said he is ahead of the field of others after Fisher/Herman.
Please excuse the idiots on this board that melt every time O's name is mentioned. It's really comical

Just because you keep using this argument does not make it true. How did he prove himself worthy? They looked like utter incompetent shite against Bama and a crippled Florida. Who cares if he out athlete/depthed lesser teams? Why am I supposed to assume his game planning gets better as soon as he's handed more responsibility and stress?
In addition you must apply this logic across the board.
While I also have no problem with hiring Herman...
If he had executed better game plans against NAVY and SMU they would currently be playing Memphis with a spot in the CFB playoff on the line.

No joke. People read what they want to read.

This is true. There is no excusing the SMU loss, especially. At least Navy and Memphis are good, well-coached teams. However, Herman has wins in his favor that O doesn't. He has beaten FSU, Oklahoma, and Louisville head to head, and headed the offense that took out Bama in the playoff two years ago. The fact that Saban sought his advise for modernizing their offense after that just confirms that he is for real.
So, both Herman and O have losses that give concerns. O just can't match Herman's wins by any measure.

With a proper offensive coordinator, this could work. O let's the coordinators do their thing during the games. With a solid offensive coordinator in addition to Aranda, we could do well.

For those knocking Coach O for his poor performances in big games, check out the score of Memphis/Houston. Currently at 33 - 17 Memphis. That would give Herman losses to Navy..a good but not great program...SMU, a horrible program, and Memphis, an average at best program. My take is that the game plan against Fla worked to perfection, including managing the clock to where Fla. would have not had time for a play. As noted, the HC did not fumble on first down at the 6 yr line, LSU up 7 - 0; the HC did not drop the snap on a gimmie FG, whiff on a block on 3rd & 2 from the 2 yrd line, resulting in a sack resulting in 3 points vs 7; did not run the wrong way on 4th & one AND fumble on the same play. LSU put up over 400 yrds on a very good SEC defensive team. I want Herman but will take Coach O as the 3rd choice & not look back. Come signing date & all would be forgiven.
