Yes, the circle is smaller than people realize. Most smoke is from agents. Leaks about info is not coming from this circle.

I'm not going to read the whole thread, but will say this is the best news of the week. So far.

I wonder if Angelle is one of the two from the BOS involved in the process.

Please...your argument is based on Orgeron playing Bama closer then anybody else in the country has and losing to Florida because players made mistakes. The game plan against Bama appeared to be that we could stop there offense and needed to make sure we didn't give them any easy scores on turnovers and special teams. We played them close, got a couple opportunities that we could not convert, and lost a game to the best team in the country with the best defense in the country by a close margin. The game plan wasn't horrible...it just fell apart when we couldn't pass block against their DL and our QB didn't play well. Sucked but it happens. Blaming the UF game on the gameplay is just ignorant. The game plan worked. We dominated that game and lost because of individual mistakes by players in side the 10 yard line. Guice fumbling on the 7 wasn't part of the game plan. Jackson fumbling a KO return wasn't part of the gameplan. Bobbling a FG snap wasn't part of the gameplan. Guice running the wrong way on the last play (on a play that was blocked and open if he hadn't) is not part of the gameplan. A bad coach loses that AtM game. Down a bunch of starters on the road in a meaningless game and we come out physical and execute with our best offensive game of the season. Give him the full time gig and let him hire a real OC (no fault to Ensminger...just not the long term answer) and I am confident that he will do as well as those guys mentioned down the list. Just not worried about it. In the end i am comfortable with the narrowed down list that LSU is working from. - The proven stable big time coach in Jimbo Fisher - the definitive "might be the next big thing" coach in Herman - the guy who might not be the conventional hire but he works for us and we know what we are getting in Orgeron. None of those are bad choices in my opinion.

If he had executed better game plans against NAVY and SMU they would currently be playing Memphis with a spot in the CFB playoff on the line.

Is Aranda a good coach? What did he give up last night without Key and Beckwith?
Herman had several players hurt during that stretch. Is Huston as deep as LSU?
Herman is doing more with players that couldn't make it as a walk on at LSU than Miles did in any two year stretch with the cream of the crop!

He won a national championship. So add any year to that and he wins.

Hope this is true. People are bashing O but he is a great D line coach and did a decent job as interim. I just don't think he's ready for a big time job like LSU. I hope he stays as the D line coach for another year and sees if he can get a HC offer at another school.

I think most of the bashing is due to the clowns of our fansbase trying to make excuses for the man to be given the keys above anyone else more qualified, more than how we really feel about the man. I got caught up in that last night when this board turned to pure dogshit, too.

Most of us respect the job he has done. Things could have been handled a LOT worse to close the season. 99.9% of us want him to stay on in his previous role, no matter what happens.

Most Herman and Fisher comments are agent driven. LSU's circle is very close.

If we fired a guy winning 80% only to hire a guy winning less than 40% when he had full control of a team, we will be the laughing stock of college football and rightly so.

The Admin does not believe the whole system is broken and that is why they are reluctant to blow the whole system up like some on here want.

If true than literally everyone involved in the process must be replaced. We just lost the Bama for what? The 6th time in a row? I've lost count. The system is absolutely broken. I wish I could believe Ed O could beat Saban, I just don't see it happening.

Lol. Not according to the 3 posters competing on this board for insider status who are frantically posting "inside" info.

Because Fedora is better than O

Fedora's about to lose his 4th game this year and it should be his 5th. He needed a miracle after blowing a big lead to FSU. This year he has lost at home by 31 to VT. His best season at UNC was last year when he still lost 3 games even after he was lucky enough to avoid FSU and Clemson in the regular season. He can't even seem to beat an SEC East team when he finds them on his schedule.
