This is one of the dumbest fricking things I've ever read.
It's especially funny considering our offense the last time we won the SEC.
ETA: The downvotes on this are interesting.

Not sure why everyone is freaking out on OP. A 2-minute drill offense is critical to championship-caliber teams. Not everything has to be glowing praise. Obviosuly our offensive efficiency (particularly from Etling) was very encouraging and a breath of fresh air, but there is still much to prove.

Nonsensical.
If you mean, we need to be able to run a 2-minute drill to make a late score to come from behind? Yeah - I agree with you.
If you're saying we have to be able to prove we can score without running the ball in order to win the SEC, you're crazy.
We won the SEC in 2011 - including a win against Tennessee - the second half of that game we had exactly 3 TD drives of 12, 16 and 10 plays (66, 99, and 65 yards) - consuming just under 22 minutes of clock (right at 1 point per minute, by the way) - and we passed/attempted to pass the ball 6 times (completing 4) out of 38 plays.
Yeah, that's the game I consider "Peak Miles" or "Les Miles' high water mark" - but still - it is easier to be a dominant team with balance than lopsided in either direction. But if you can only have 1 proficiency - you have to be able to run the ball in our conference.
Period.

Bama wins with special teams and defensive scores, not passing.
The key to winning is scoring more points than your opponent. How you do it is irrelevant.

Nothing more was needed. I've already posted several other times in this thread.

Our defense very well may be as good as the 2011 one. But our special teams that year were absolutely insane. It's hard to say at this point or offense will be able to enjoy the benefits of that caliber of defense and special teams

Congrats, you may have just posted one of the single dumbest football related posts ever on the rant.

This could be stated almost every minute on this board of late.

We won't win the SEC again until our offense is competent at driving the length of the field via 10-20 yards passes.
You think Alabama did that last year?

go back to the secr coach Sumlin you're drunk.

the team with the most rushing yards and fewest turnovers wins 99% of football games....
defense wins championships...

I'm pretty sure that's what he meant. The team needs to be able to move the ball expeditiously, when the other team is expecting the pass.

We couldn't do that the last time we won the SEC.
Dumbass

I see what you mean, and I agree with you. You didn't express it very well in your OP, though.
What you mean is that to win championships we will need to execute the two minute offense at some point. I think that's likely true. It remains to be seen if we can do it.
