They will play only 1 top 20 ranked team (A&M), and LSU will have played 3 top 10 ranked teams. The road to the SEC Championship is much easier for Bama. Sorry if Germans.

A key thing about Bama’s schedule for awhile now is that their east rival Tennessee has been complete crap..and they have gotten a freebie for awhile. It won’t be any different this year.

And whenever Georgia is scheduled to be their rotating East opponent, Birmingham alters the schedule so they play LSU instead.

Alabama typically has the better team, but easier schedule is still an advantage.

I took a look at Alabama’s schedule today, and woof would it be dull to have season tickets this year. The home schedule:
New Mexico State
Southern Miss
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Arkansas
LSU
Western Carolina

We’ll probably be the only team to come through there that goes to a bowl.

Plenty Bama fans whining & moaning after the Clemson beat down ...said " their SEC Schedule wore them down"

That could be a lame excuse seeing how LSU plays at Texas & Florida ....Bama only plays Duke & Tennesee.

And six weeks wasn’t enough time to recover.

Alabama has had like literally one tough schedule in the past 15 years.

So is Texas and UF good now?

Both are top 20 teams at best

Hopefully this schedule keeps them out of the playoffs when their only loss is to LSU. It would be appalling to once again, go to the SEC championship game, kick GA to the curb, only to have play them again.

I also was wondering when this happened.

This is very true. But I do take some joy knowing Bama will be playing in a half filled stadium when it’s boiling hot outside this SAT

In the 2013 “bridge” season. Alabama was originally supposed to play Georgia, but we played at Georgia instead.

In all fairness, they had to play the Missouri juggernaut that managed about 4 wins that year.

It happened when we had Mettenberg (sp?)

We went to GA for the second time since bama had been there and they went to Lexington for the second time since we had been there. LSU argued in the SEC meetings at Sandestin about this, told the SEC scheduling staff to switch us with bama for those games, but the REC would have none of it.

Texas will probably be a top ten finisher. They literally have one competitive team left on their schedule.

And Saban was ask about his cupcake schedule last week. He claims everybody is scared to play Bama, so they have to play Jr. High like teams. His dumbass fans bought into it.
