I mean right… His wording is so deliberate and sincere which is causing me to really wonder about this guy.
I mean this is a big win for South Carolina and LSU was out of sinc from the start. It’s just ridiculous that we have fans in all sports who lose their shite after a loss. But losing your mind going after Johnson who has our team at #1 at the mid season point is incomprehensible.

You truly are one of our best baseball melters.

quote:Nice straw man. No one suggested burning through arms for the frick of it. Again, conceding the game is a thing. You aren’t explaining some high level concept. Conceding a game in which you are competitive, with no guarantees for how you will play tomorrow, or if you’ll even get both remaining games in, is inexcusable.
Well, regular season SERIES aren’t won by burning through your arms after a weather delay in game 1.
Clearly, I’m not the one who needs to “keep up”

This is the worst LSU baseball coaching performance I have ever seen.
I wish emotes didn't just stop after three on this site because you deserve more but my god

Never have I seen a coach just give up on a game. Not to mention hanging a struggling pitcher in Hellmers out there to dry.
It’s not about 1 game. It’s about the series. He did what he though he had to do to win 2 out of 3.

It’s easily his worst decision so far. There’s not really a way to defend it.
We've seen opposing coaches do this countless times in Alex Box.
But It's funny how we perceive it as dominance by LSU in game 1, not poor coaching on the opponent's behalf.
Then when it happens to us, it can't be South Carolina's dominance. It must be because Jay Johnson gave up.

If you can’t see what he’s doing your an idiot. He’s saving his arms for tomorrow he conceded this game. South Carolina is out of their best arms we win two tomorrow we win the series duhhh just like Arkansas. That’s what’s happening we got screwed by weather and Skenes
Are we going to concede every game when we’re down 2 runs?

His plan got screwed with the weather delay. Save your good arms for saturday and see what you have deep in the bullpen by giving guys meaningful innings.
What about South Carolinas plan?
Posted on 4/6/23 at 10:45 pm to MOT
Down by 5 in the 5th or 6th, sure throw hellmers out there and try to save the pen
Down 2 in the 4th with no guarantee of another game this weekend, frick that

Say something you think needs to be changed with this team?
I think Thompson and Neal need to switched in the line-up. I also think it is time to give Milazzo a few more AB’s. The one tonight was not representative on how well he as been at the plate as one of the pitches was low.
There are 2.

Surely since you understand baseball so well you know that what happened 25 years ago doesn’t have anything to do with what is being discussed. I hate when fans try to reference seasons from the past as if it has anything to do with what is going on currently.

They threw their best arms tonight, so winning 1 is what they went for. If the weather holds and they lose 2 of the next 3 they will probably be disappointed. Just like you would be if LSU won tonight and then dropped the next 2.
South Carolina played for 1 of 3 and is probably hoping the other 2 get cancelled. LSU played for 2 of 3 and is hoping they don’t get cancelled.
It’s really not as complicated as you people are making it.

How do you feel about fans equating a midseason game 1 of 3 to a postseason game?
Because that’s pretty dumb, isn’t it? Oh wait, that was you.
Oops.

We were down by 2 runs.
That is a shite plan if true.
He’s basically telling the team that he didn’t believe they could come back.
What’s the difference if you win tonight and 1 tomorrow vs lose tonight and win 2 tomorrow? You have no clue what kind of start Hurd is going to give you. Last time it wasn’t good.

Probably a good thing he didn’t burn through the bullpen then.

I never compared it to a post season game in terms of value. That’s something you made up in your own mind. I said “The game tonight isn’t far from what a post season game will look like” which is 100% true. We’re you trying to compare the value of a SEC game to a midweek game?

You’ve said several times that not treating like a postseason game was a bad decision.
Maybe don’t post shite you don’t mean.

It’s the fricking SEC. Every series so far has been against a top 15 opponent scooter.

I said conceding a game while down by 2 runs in the 3rd inning was a bad decision and I’ll stand by that.

Jay is the one that says to treat every game like a post season game. Maybe he shouldn’t say shite he doesn’t mean..

So I was correct in my statement. Thanks.

It’s the melting about it that’s sad. Just admit that you don’t understand that winning every game in a baseball season is not an attainable goal.

He’s probably figured out that “fans” like you would pitch a bitch fit if he said that winning 2 of 3 is perfectly acceptable in the SEC.

That playing in the SEC is “almost” like playing in the postseason?
It’s the fact that you think tonight was somehow different than any other weekend that’s amusing.

In a 3-1 game? With both aces out? Are you stupid?
