What's good or bad about it?

Let's assume it does. But there should also be an assumption that the scoring will increase as well.

What's worse, 10 TDs, 2 INTs or 20 TDs, 4 INTs?

They key is keeping the TD/INT ratio low, no matter what the scheme.

We will finish 9-3 again if Burrow's stat line is 16 Tds & 5 ints. You cant play scared and expect better results.

He needs to throw 25-28 Tds for us to be a legit contender and finish 11-1 or better.

Who does it depend on more? Accurate and excellent WRs doing their job? An QB with an accurate arm?
These two.

And even that doesn’t say everything

Etling has an 8:1 TD: Int ratio
Mayfield has a 7.16:1 TD:int ratio

Now I think Most people would gladly sacrifice the 4 extra in. For the 27 extra TDs

yes, we should probably use the les miles style offense for these reasons as it is much safer. It would be stupid to do otherwise

This offense will be quick routes. Little to no drop backs for the Qb before getting the ball out of his hands. Just being the devils advocate and for the sake of conversation, does this type of offense set you up for more turnovers due to interceptions and DBs jumping on routes?

If you throw the ball more, you're going to turn it over more. Not really up for debate. It's proven.

Ideally that's offset by an increase in scoring. It's like anything else; if you plot it out on a bell curve, to the extreme right you'll have the best teams that don't significantly increase turnovers but they increase scoring. That's ideal.

Most teams are in the middle, there's a proportional increase to both turnovers and scoring. And to the extreme left you have the teams that throw a ton more INTs but don't increase scoring by that much.

No one's suggesting that we not open up the offense.

It's the idea that you don't tighten up and abandon it if there are some hiccups with the execution initially.

Well, we know that LSU will be running the Saints offense (via Coach O and Jeaux Brady, as you mentioned). Last year in that offense Drew Brees threw 32 TDs to 5 INTs. So... nah, I ain't worried about an increase in INTs.
Are you honestly comparing Joe Burow to Drew Brees

I am still not convinced our offense is gong to be as dramatically different as some think.

We’ve only had one interception each time we’ve played Alabama the last three years and we have a grand total of ten points across three games.

frick it. Wing it around. You have nothing to lose. High octane no huddle seems to be the the only thing to give nick saban teams problems. Roll the dice

Not necessarily abandoning it. I think this sort of ties back into CEH being the wild card. Curry, Emery, Davis

Alabama succumbs to a top qb, which LSU doesn’t have.

I'm more worried about having a system that can bring QBs along.

OU, tOSU, Ole Miss, USC, FSU, Clemson, ect never seem to have the struggles we do at QB

of course a more aggresive offensive approach will likely lead to more turnovers here and there

but id rather be winning games 42-24 Than inching on 22-21 games or 16-13 or 9-6.

Well, a lot will depend if WR’s can get off the line for these quick passes.

I think it will really depend on Burrows competency and understanding of the offense. He’ll know where to go with the ball before it’s snapped almost all of the time or at least after his first key/read post snap. I dont think it will be as pass happy as everyone believes. We will still run the ball a ton, just like the Saints do.
