I don't blame them. If you play on your home field, you should always bat last. Should be one of the benefits of playing well enough in the regular season and conference tournament to earn a regional and/or super-regional host designation.

We bitched about it, too, when it happened to us. This time it’s in our favor so of course I like it but I can’t blame them for being unhappy.

They were aggravated that LSU was a 2 seed in their regional. They are the #4 overall seed and get stuck with LSU. It sucks because LSU has a lot of talent and are playing much better now.

The board seemed rather rational. Admitting that ump was all over the place and that both teams got gifts from the moveable strike zone.
They have every right to be mad that they are the 1 seed and are the away team twice against us. That sucks for them. Great for us.

I’ve always thought the home designation should go to the higher seed in games where the 2 teams have the same record and then the team in the winners bracket. Or maybe give the winners bracket team the option of being home in game 1 or the if necessary game

There really isn't a good reason that the lower-seeded team should not be home in every game, throughout the tournament.

I have to agree with them, but LSU has had to deal with the same thing in BR regionals.
If you host a regional you should be home team especially if it gets to a game 7.
