I’d rather Clemson and Va tech. Even though NC brings more TVs. I get that.
But I’m talking about sec fits and uva and UNC ain’t that.

I doubt VA Tech isn’t on the SEC’s list, especially if Franklin gets them rolling. Good football tradition, awesome stadium trip, solid academics.

West virginia would be a good fit. Should have went east instead of west but I know its all about money and the 2 texas schools are loaded.

Big time schools
Rich
Great academics (which the SEC probably wants to increase)
New viewing markets
Basketball

Never said they weren't going to. I just said they don't need to. There already isn't going to be a Championship game. Adding more teams just muddies the water even further.

North Carolina is the top get for both the SEC and the B1G.
* They get both conferences into a market they are not in. Bor the B1G, it gets them in the South.
* UNC immediately raises the academic standing, especially for the SEC. University presidents care about that.
* They help basketball.
* From a football standpoint, they are the most underperforming program in the country. There is no reason they should suck the way they have. A better conference might kick them into gear.

Gotta think B1G would take AZ/ASU. Maybe TCU/Baylor/Tech combo as well.
SEC should hammer for NC/VA schools. Take both UV/VT & UNC/NCST and should consider TTU/BU/TCU to keep B1G away.

It’s all about TV markets and NC and the state of VIRGINIA expand the SEC footprint.Hence no Clem,Fla St they are altready in those markets.
