What’s unfortunate is I think the best way for Larson to get out of his head would be for him to get more at bats but he’s been so bad lately you can’t give them to him so then he gets like one at bat a week and it’s like he feels so much pressure to do something every time he finally gets one and just gets deeper and deeper in his head. Hopefully the coaches can talk to him and get him to just relax and play.

Pretty spot on. But he's just gonna have to figure it out. That's part of playing on a team this stacked. Someone else will take your spot and not look back. He has a great opportunity right now with our other two LHH options not commanding a spot

quote:I don't know that Jay is even looking at hits vs getting out right now. He's looking at the approach. Are the guys being patient and looking for their pitch? Are they making pitchers work deep into the count?
A hit there probably would've been enough to get him a chance this weekend.
Larson has been doing neither. He just goes up and swings as hard as he can and then hasn't been able to stay alive once he gets 2 strikes. His entire approach has to change or Jay isn't giving him anything on the weekends.

Pressure every inning.
Has USL had 1 inning without a runner? Don't think so.
