Not my recollection at all. Where we were, we all started yelling even louder like refusing to give in, and it made the scoring drive even sweeter.

You are joking right? Tyrann Mathieu on one of his two big punt returns in the 2011 SEC championship!

Are you kidding? That’s when the crowd started chanting “LSU! LSU!” at its loudest!

The difference in those players and the players we have now isn't talent. It's that drive to be the best and the will to show everyone that they were the best team in the country. It's just not there anymore. I see players giving up on plays and just not playing hard now and I've seen that since the 2011 seasons.

That 2011 squad was the closest thing to those 2000 teams Saban had. He didn't have a team full of 5*s all over the place. He had them here and there like we do now. It's simply the mindset that's different. Players used to play with a bruise or sprain if the team needed them.

Idk the answer for that fix. Maybe it's the coaches, maybe it's just the type of player with that mentality but LSU doesn't currently have a roster full of those types of players at this time. We have a few but it's not the entire team like it should be. It needs to bleed into the entire team. That's when this team will win a championship not before.

What ever it is, needs to change and quickly. Stop feeling sorry for themselves and play football. Be a damn man not a boy. Take the person in front of you and knock the piss out of him. Don't let anyone stop you no matter how good or bad they are. Just dominate the opposing team period. Train like that, lift weights like that, play like that and know your the best. When you play with that type of desire and passion, no one will be able to stop you consistently no matter how good or talented they are.

That FIGHT needs to come back to this program. Not just talking about it but actually being about it. Live it, breath it and the coaches need to demand 110% effort in practice. You will play the way you practice and if your not showing up bc you're bruised or a little sore, then that's going to become the norm. When things get tough, you'll just take a break. Frick that. They need to fight through it if that's possible. I have a hard time believing that all our OLman and DLman are always hurt. It's BS.

That all starts and ends with coaching.

Even though my team was on the losing end of that one, this was one of the greatest SEC games of all-time, in my opinion.

It had everything. An unbelievable atmosphere. Veteran QBs. Championship winning coaches. The best defenses in college football. 4th quarter drama. It lived up to the hype and then some.

The real difference in the outcome (in both matchups, really) was LSU's advantage up front. Saban and Miles understood how important it was to build an elite OL. I don't think Richt emphasized it as much as he should have.

Im in that pic. Upper south ez. Left side of pic. Hands the best moment ive ever had in DV. The uga kick to us before that drive had to come out of a tv timeout. Late in the 4th of a game we were down in..the student section began chanting L-S-U. L-S-U. it spread through stadium and players fed off jt..the kick to us we got a GREAT runeback by skylar or sharone carey..cant member the returner..but it got us great field position and setup that bomb to skylar.

When we scored the stadium erupted..like 07 lsu v uf after usc loss anniuncement erupted.

Looked at my brother a d was yelling as loud as u could and couldn't hear myself.. a try amazing game and experience from a crowd that was hungry for victory and full of love for their tigers.

If so, it was BRIEFLY a moment before one of the greatest “LSU” chants ever commenced.

Chills...

Lavalais was straight filthy. As was that entire D-line. Gotta be greatest ever...

Spears, Lavalais, Williams, Hill (RIP), across the board.

It was the loudest for me, but I missed Florida in 1997 and heard it was pretty damn loud.

Same here.

Between 1990-2018, that was the pinnacle for me in TS.

During “the LSU chant”, young girl in front of us was buried down on floor between the bleachers with hands in her ears crying, “my ears are hurting!”
