Hawthorne on the call

Matt Mauck, getting hit at the waist, as he threw it up for Skyler Green.

What a moment in Tiger Stadium History.

Would be nice to recreate that atomshphere, this Saturday.

I was in the south endzone lower bowl and I guess since it happened right in front of us, I always think of Shockley getting sacked by the goal line while waving the ball all over the place. I thought for sure he was gonna fumble.

When Skyler caught the ball, we couldn't see it and just went off the crowd reaction. There was a UGA fan sitting next to us that was pissed they didn't call holding on the Henderson return.

Eta: I tried blowing that pic up to find myself in it. If you follow the numbers to the south endzone, I'm right there in the lower bowl. Too blurry damnit.

That sack was unreal. I thought the stadium was going to crumble apart it was so loud and wild.

I was in the student section, dodging cups of bourbon and coke.
My plan, everytime we scored, was turn around and cheer looking up at the top off the stadium.
I may or may not of let a few fly in my day

As loud as it got, I think after UGA scored on the screen pass that may have been the quietest I've ever heard TS.

This is a far fetched story and if someone told me, I may not believe it. But, when we were in the student section and I looked up like you're talking about, there was a full cup of soda coming down with soda trailing behind it like the asteroid in Armageddon. There was a girl walking on the walkway below us completely oblivious to what was going on and it hit her in the head and knocked her out. No bullshite. Had to be taken away by first aid. I feel kinda bad now, but we were laughing our asses off.

I believe you. I never saw anyone knocked out by one of those asteroids, but seen plenty people wear it in the head.
The place use to smell like a bourbon st. bar room at 6am. It was awesome!

Unless you’re physically unable to attend any games again, eventually we’ll beat Bama and that will be the greatest game ever!

Look at how packed the stands are late in the 4th.

I was in the North endzone. One of the greatest plays I’ve ever seen live.

That was back when LSU gave the visitors a giant block of seats in the lower bowl. It was amazing how loud the Georgia fans were after the long TD pass to tie it.

I recently rewatched the game on YouTube. What a slug fest. Georgia dominated the 1st half but couldn’t finish drives. LSU had one drive and went to the half up 7-3. LSU dominated the 2nd half but couldn’t pull away any.

LSU may have won the SEC in 2001 but 2002 took some of the wind out of the sail. This game told everyone LSU had arrived.
