Here's the take from a UF website regarding how big ole mean LSU blackmailed the widdle poor mistreated Gators and lame duck AD Foley and the SEC.
Damn these idiots are delusional.......I was going to copy and paste article.......it exceeds the character limit so here is link to entire article.
LINK
"Two short days ago, Florida and LSU appeared to be at an impasse regarding the game they were supposed to play in Gainesville last Saturday, but got postponed due to Hurricane Matthew. Now, suddenly, the game is back on again- in Baton Rouge.
That’s a turn of events that can only be caused by a little something called blackmail."

They gambled and wanted the game cancelled for a better path to the championship game, failed to be informed of the rules, got caught looking like jackasses and now have to suffer an avoidable scenario. Get the frick over it, congratulations.

It amazes me at how all the Florida fans are forgetting that none of this would have happened if they could have figured things out for themselves, and played the game last weekend. LSU made every effort to play the game last weekend. Now, come take your arse kicking in Baton Rouge instead.

So who at LSU has pics of Foley and what is the compromising position that he is in?

They got their arse in a sling because they tried to dodge playing the game for their own benefit.
When the SEC told them they couldn't go to the SECCG, it put their arse in gear.
The SEC should have said that shite early last week. Both the SEC and UF are at fault here.
The Baton Rouge economy needs that game. I applaud Alleva for standing his ground. UF got treated exactly how they treated us. Stop your bitching!

That author apparently doesn't comprehend the definition of the little something called blackmail.

Imagine if they had just played the game here last weekend. The fundraising, the openness of our state to people going through the same hard times as we ourselves have been through so many times. Burying the proverbial hatchet and fanbases coming together for a common goal of continuity under any circumstances, and the power of perseverance. Game Day would have eaten it up.
But no, because Foley is such an a-hole, we don't get that opportunity as fans. I could give a shite about the game. In my mind from that weekend on, it'll always be a forfeit. I'm talking about LSU/South Carolina, Arizona State/LSU, hell, even Alabama sent us an 18 wheeler full of supplies during our floods this year. I don't know about you guys, but those things make me feel different about the people from those places. I don't know, maybe I'm alone on this one but I just wanted a chance to tailgate and meet some Florida fans when they needed a game like it would have been last weekend, to take their minds off what was going on in their state. But now, I hate their school administration more so because of the debacle they have made this into, and I feel robbed, and I think their fans should feel robbed. Guess I can throw these jorts away I was going to wear to welcome them to our great state with.

It's not blackmail. It's just negotiations.
I have no doubt that LSU tried to play the UF game last weekend just as they did whatever they had to do to play the USC game last season. UF did not want to lose a home game (understandable) and flat out refused to move the game to BR (also understandable). But let's no kid ourselves, they certainly didn't feel canceling the game (or postponing to a later date) was a bad alternative.
1. They were beat up both at QB and DL which is certainly a factor when you are playing a team that WANTS to run the ball right at you.
2. Even if played in Gainesville last week, their homefield advantage was likely diminished. How many people were going to show up in the wake of a hurricane? School was closed. Students may have left. Others may have been dealing with their own issues. Plus the game was at 12:00. I suspect, at best, the stadium was going to be 65% full
3. LSU is a de facto "new team" right now. O has made it a point not to be as ridiculously predictable as Miles. UF would have had only one game of film to analyze the "new" LSU team.
4. UF probably felt they could backdoor into the SECCG with the likelihood that Tenn. would lose 2 SEC games.
Cancelling wasn't a bad deal for UF until (a) LSU essentially told the SEC to piss-off regarding their suggestion of changing the S. Bama game and (b) the backdoor SEC East championship wasn't an option.
LSU then held most of the cards and essentially said "we gave you every chance to play this game away from BR. You decided not to, so now you can either come here or get lost. We aren't giving up a home game just because you couldn't play in Gainesville on the initial date." The SEC office looked incompetent (because it is!) and UF only had one option if they wanted to play LSU. That is playing in BR on 11/19.
However, don't give me the LSU is a "bully" crap. They made concessions in the "settlement". LSU will only have 6 home games next season, and only 3 SEC home games. That's both a huge competitive dis-advantage AND financial hit.

LSU offered to fly into Gainesville on Sunday the 9th or Monday the 10th and leave after the ballgame. Wouldn't take or try to take any hotel/motel rooms needed for evacuees or EMA officials.
Florida refused.
Jeremy Foley can go play in traffic on I-75.

That's quite a "blackmail" considering LSU gained nothing and only ever wanted to play the game last weekend like every other football game in the state of Florida managed to do.
Posted on 10/14/16 at 10:49 am to BooDreaux
But according to some fans, LSU got fricked over in the deal.

Foley bluffed, with a bad hand. Foley got rivered. Go away Foley to a disgraceful exit.
