No idea, but as bad as BR traffic can be, L.A. can have some of the worst traffic in the country. I'm guessing it COULD be worse than a normal LSU home game.

L.A. traffic is terrible but I promise you, after living there for 11 years, it will not be worse than leaving Tiger Stadium.

Do NOT STAY ON THE WEST SIDE. You’ll never make it to the stadium.

What’s wrong with the metro?

After living there for 11 years, I kid you not, I’ve never used it and I don’t know anyone else who has. I guess it could work, but my point is, Pasadena is rad. The west side is an hour away from Pasadena, will be more like 2 hours away on game day. People really underestimate how spread out L.A. is.

How so? I’ll be honest my plan has been to stay in Silver Lake or Echo Park to make it easier to go to Santa Monica, Sunset Strip, etc then take the metro to Pasadena on game day

All set at the Pasadena Hilton. Taking the shuttle to and from the stadium.

The Langham is the nicest hotel in Pasadena (really the only nice hotel). My in laws used to stay there when they visited from BR. Just make sure you bring your wallet.

And make sure you visit the Greyhound (on Figueroa in Highland Park) for the chicken wings.

I’m looking at staying in the Arcadia area or an Airbnb. Arcadia is close to Pasadena and the hotel rooms are very reasonable.

Well I guess it depends on what you're looking for. Those places are definitely trendier, better nightlife (Pasadena's is "classier"), they are closer to SM, but getting to SM is going to be a pain in the arse no matter where you come from. It'd probably take you 30 minutes from Echo Park and 45 from Pasadena if you're not in traffic. 30 minutes is commonplace to get mostly anywhere in L.A. keep in mind.

I liked Pasadena because it's got more breathing room, still reasonably close to everything, and it's just overall nicer. But keep in mind you're also talking to a jaded former local who had enough of the hustle and bustle...

And like I said I never actually took the metro, so I can't comment on that.

9 year Silver Lake / Echo Park resident here dropping in to say that I would pretty much avoid Hollywood if at all possible as it's pretty shitty. I get depressed every time I have to work over there. I'd stay near the Bowl and get an AirBnB somewhere in the foothills above the 210. Either that or the South Bay and make the long drive. If you got the $$$ then the Langham for sure.
