Is Jazz Ferguson still on the team? Surprised he hasn't transferred either

If the Spring is any indication he was ahead of Johnson in the rotation.

Well if it's after the start of camp, generally it has to be they got passed up and weren't going to compete much anyways. So no harm really.

But if it's attitude and work ethic problems, certainly good news.

Damn. This was my candidate for breakout. I guess the 40+ downvotes when I mentioned him should have said something and I apparently had no idea he had bad work ethic and expected things to be handed to him.

he wasn't that good anyway. People get way too caught up in recruiting rankings

immaturity issue and poor work ethic

To be clear, I have absolutely ZERO inside info...

Sometimes, when someone has a ton of natural talent in HS, they can excel on the talent alone with out having to put in the effort. Then when they go to the next level (college), they do not have the work ethic and fall behind.

Sounds like this may be the case here..

Regardless, I wish the young man the best of luck.

seemed to have an immaturity issue

Was on full display last season doing the superman chest move after scoring a meaningless TD in a blowout game

Still, wanted to see him mature & progress as a Tiger.
Best of luck, not everybody has what it takes to grind it out as a Tiger

I never like to be that guy to talk negatively about a recruit or player...but I've always thought that. And not just because of this news. Just didn't do much for me. Lots of people said he was OBJ 2.0.

right i don't want to speak on someone i know nothing about.

i meant to phrase it with a question mark

but yeah something isn't quite right here and probably a mutual thing.

i just hate to see them give up on the program this early on, but oh well. he actually played as a true freshman at a position that didn't generate a ton of passes.. just weird he would leave with at least 2 guys ahead of him going pro

I just wonder if he's going to jump in the air to catch passes at his chest at his next stop.

ETA: His HS coach is at Kansas now. Seems like that could be a destination.

was trying to figure out what we were going to do with all these receivers, this will add a little clarity

Well, we still have special teams. Defecting starts to affect other areas of the team. Tyron would likely have played this year unless Derrick Dillon is the 4th guy now. I mean we lose Dupre (likely) and Dural after this season.
