why is this always the common factor of small businesses
Even in small towns in the middle of nowhere. It's because of gubmint subsidy loopholes.

So, did these two post bail?
Are they still being held in custody?
What was the substance in the so-called supplement?
Where did these supplements come from?
Could this be some form of sabotage/revenge/jihad from the source(s) of these 'supplements'?

Google Curious Goods. Richard Buswell was the guy. It was a pipe shope business that was franchising and selling shite like this, 10 yrs+ ago.
They find small manufacturers and make recipes that contain something that gives a buzz. They lie on formulations, etc and it makes it to the shelf.
At one point, they would have a line if 50 people waiting for opening at 8am. It was insane.
He had grown to about 7 or 8 locations that were doing $200k per mnth on credit card sales thru pos system (my system)
Had lawyers lying, manufacturing lying, labelling and testing web of lies, etc. He went to jail, lawyer commited suicide, etc etc
These people arent going buy a health supplement. But also, dont deserve to die
I would assume thats whats going on here

I have no doubt that small time shite like this happens, likely in this story and the ole miss dudes.
But kratom is a real, actual plant that is manuractured/packaged/sold by reputable known companies all over the country. Sure there's probably some 19 year old whipping up a batch of "Flatom" in his garage and selling it under the table somewhere, btu real actual kratom is gettign demonized when that isn't really to blame in any way.

My defense is of common sense and not being a backwoods tard that is strongly opinionated on a subject they're entirely ignorant of.
People have zero clue whatsoever what kratom is until they first heard about it 3 weeks ago, now all of a sudden it's a killer and a plague on society and should be outlawed.
In reality the real issue is these foreign gas station fricks that are making up their own product and selling it illegally. Kratom's got nothing to do with it. Like if I invented my own whiskey in my bathtub and someone drank it and got alcohol poisoning i doubt anyone on this board would be trying to outlaw woodford reserve.

We get it, Dawg. You like the Kratom. Unfortunately, you have people all over who own everything from convenience stores to tobacco shoppes selling “supplements” that are being produced in a way that’s no different than a redneck cooking meth at their trailer.
You have no idea what you’re buying, and it’s being sold by what Americans have come to view as legitimate businesses. This isn’t some reprobate in a back alley selling to kids to get them hooked.

So because it comes from a plant, it can't be addictive or bad for you
Source...Opium Poppy, Coca plant, Peyote cactus, etc
There's a reason Kratom is called gas station meth. It acts on the opioid receptors in your brain and has the same addictive traits as opioids including cravings, dependence, etc
Stop defending it and acting like its a safe over the counter drug like Aspirin or something.

quote me one single time, anywhere, where I said it can't be addicive. Like with anything else on earth it can be bad if you don't use it repsonsibly. I've NEVER once argued against that.

It is 100% perfectly safe, if used in a responsible manner. What isn't safe is fake versions made by wtf knows who and then sold illegally.

which is literally exactly waht I'm talking about. That shite is unknown and dangerous and potentially a killer. My entire point. That isn't the real product.

There are real, actual companies that sell it. Buy their product. Don't buy from shitheads.
As an aside, I"ve never seen real actaul kratom sold in a gas station. If I had, I'd still never buy it there. I've only ever seen legit kratom sold at head shopes/vape stores/etc or places that specialize in that type of product.

You think it's a safe product? lol.
You should get help with your addiction

What a horrible comparison. Kratom is an addictive product the same as an opioid no matter who manufactures it
When you get that fresh zip locked bag and scoop a big scoop into your morning water, does it matter if it was made by Muhammed or some sketchy factory like all gas station meth is made by? No. You're still an addict looking for your fix, defending what is a poor man's meth then have the nerve to act like you are the sophisticated one vs those of us pointing out you are an addict.

Life-destroying addiction can start at a corner store
A patient, his doctor and other experts warn of dangers of 7-OH, which is touted as a derivative of kratom and is widely available, but packs far more opioid danger.
7-OH is a chemical also found in kratom, a plant-derived stimulant from southeast Asia that also acts on the brain’s opioid receptors and carries risks.
Because of legal loopholes, both kratom and 7-OH products are available in smoke shops, vape shops, gas stations and convenience stores nationwide.
