The irony of this would be hilarious

All the anti Wade people would stroke out. The Miles apologists wouldn’t know what to do

Excuse my ignorance, but is the attorney’s second paragraph suggesting that the “strong arse offer” was for an assistant coach and not a recruit?

Wow
I completely missed that and never considered. Thats a good defense regardless of if its true or not

and why would the NCAA be "frustrated"? Aren't they just looking into the facts?

Because the NCAA is losing the PR war.

The Odell and Ed improper contact are nothing

It’s my understanding the Odell and Ed thing are settled. The money given to the players by Odell was sent back to him and the punishment for Ed’s improper contact with Burch was 30 days off the recruiting trail. We are past those issues.

I would assume Woodward finds it harder & harder to back wade up when his lawyers are leaking statements like they just did, because yesterday’s article hurt their feelings

Just the opposite.

It's obvious that the NCAA wants to make an example with WW.
North Carolina, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky????
I'm pretty certain that WW broke the rules, just like the rest of the college basketball world!

Playing it out in public is not something Woodward will be fond of.

There is nothing to gain by displaying weakness to the NCAA
The only way to approach this is through strength

Arizona, Kansas, Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse are perfect examples

Yep totally agree, If he had this lawyer, who by the way represents Bruce Pearl also, he would have had a chance to coach in the NCAA Tourney. IIRC, Pearl recommended Wade to his lawyer.

2 questions.

1) if WW made 11 offers to people and no one accepted...then whose offers did they accept.

2) Could WW be used as an example or a warning to all coaches to adjust their behavior?

Supah, your post is spot on with one minor exception. Gayheim and the 'cluse actually COOPERATED with the NCAA, and they got bent over and screwed pretty badly.

Who cares about the time...is that your defense?
He cheated..the sooner you accept it, the better

I'm going off your analogy...
quote:

drug dealers swear they have nothing in their pockets....until they get searched

Drug dealers get searched at the scene and the evidence is already in their pockets according to you. The NCAA has been looking into Will Wade since he was hired at LSU, even before the Forde article about the FBI probe. There is still no evidence. You made a shitty comparison, son.
