TSA agents can’t sit on the job

Wonder what is behind this move? I suspect it is a way to weed out out of shape people without looking discriminatory. Probably a good move but kind of strange.

Only time I sit during daylight hours is if I’m driving. I’d stand up and drive if I could.

For the love of all things holy can we please get a standard process for going through security?
Every time I go through the rules are different. Laptops out, no wait leave them in your bag. Take your shoes off, no wait keep them on. Bags directly on the conveyer, no wait put your bags in a bin first. Keep your boarding pass with you at all times, why is your boarding pass in your pocket you ain’t spose a have nothing in your pockets.
And then they always act all incensed when I have the nerve to ask them what they want me to do. If it was always the same process I’d never have to ask.

I'd like to think it's because they are introducing variability to keep threats from building a profile, but I really don't think it is.

Literally yelled at me like I was trying to hijack a plane. Baton Rouge TSA is usually chill too.

The reason is simple. Not all the airports have the latest scanning equipment. The older stuff still requires laptops etc to be pulled out, shoes off, etc. The newer stuff you can leave everything in the bag and shoes on. Still have to take the belt off though.
Which is why I wear joggers and slip on shoes for every flight.

ASE TSA was ridiculous last week. Only one ID checker and 3 people hanging out by the scanners. How hard is it to do ALL of the PreCheck people first before dealing with the commoner line? I moved right through ORD two weeks ago. I get changing things up with the scanners but how hard is it to follow the simple procedure that those who paid to go first get that privilege at ALL TSA checkpoints?

If you have a rigorous workout routine you would probably rest more. Mine is very strenuous especially for my age
