I don't think Jay will or should go after the player he is talking about,
like some have said I think LSU is done with position players and now is probably about to bring in 2-3 arms for depth.

He's a legit player, but C is just not a position of need this year. We could get better defensively there though.

No doubt, but I think that dude hit around .350 with 21 homers.

On board with this. Need some door shutters! Hope our starters from past season can all have better years.

He is projected as a top 10 pick in next years draft.

By who? You got a link? Aside from the fact that MLB draft projections are notoriously bad, particularly this far out, the only one I can find, Perfect Game, projects him at #35, and Arambide at #48. I also think Bide's 18 HRs, 51 RBI in 189 ABs playing in the SEC is at least as impressive as Janicki's 20 HRs, 86 RBI in 274 ABs primarily in the Sunbelt.

Janicki also had 13 passed balls in 510 chances. Bide had 6 in 435, Serna had 6 in 256.

Announcers during game said it. He has hit against everyone he has played.

Trojans take out the butthurt RebelBearSharks today and are still in it.

Almost went there for College. It was a tough choice between Troy State, Southern Miss and LSU. (It will always be Troy State to me)

I had partial Marching Band Scholarships to all three. LSU won out due to football fandom and proximity to home. (Mandeville)

Announcers say a lot of things.

No doubt, but so has Bide and, to a lesser extent, Serna.

So, displace the second-best hitter?
This type of minimalist thinking is the problem. Because he is the second-best hitter means nobody else can be better? SMDH

How are fans thinking part of the problem?

But I could say that this sort of two-in-the-bush thinking is how you lose good players while getting Carraway, Dardar, and Yorke.

Sure, someone else could be better, but this is not the guy.

Braun has proven himself in the SEC as a freshman; he was better in the SEC than Janicki was in a lower league as a freshman.
