I'm outraged that in America someone would have the audacity to think they can get compensated for their rare and unique talents in the free marketplace. It outrageous, scandalous, abominable, egregious and will not stand.

As there aren’t really any rules around NIL yet, I think he can get away with it. But I agree the use of school imagery may not last if the schools themselves aren’t getting a cut of the checks

It’s up to the schools whether they allow their imagery in promos. Some allow it some don’t. LSU has basically said “frick yea go get paid” and are helping in every way they legally can.

Awesome for him. The fact that something like this was ever illegal is ridiculous when you think about it. He's working to make money. Isn't that what we should want?
He has a talent that allows him to make money off of something different than working at McDonalds. Great for him, and any other athlete at any of school that's able to do this.

LSU is one of a few school's allowing use of their colors and likeness as long as they get to approve it and the services don't compete with any University sponsors

LSU needs to advise their student athletes against using LSU imagery without permission. When it’s a small baseball camp, nobody cares, but one day it’ll be a gentleman’s club or a dispensary. LSU may find itself pitted against a student athlete to protect the LSU brand.

LSU policies on NIL are pretty easy to find.

You really don't think they have discussed stuff like this with the players?
Do you really think that they don't have to get LSU's approval before doing something like that?
Just because the people that post on here are dumb as a box of rocks, doesn't mean that people at LSU are.
