How can I be more specific?

Towards the end of the season and into tournament play, teams that played LSU took away the paint and invited Simmons to shoot, uncontested.

Hell, he shot a 3 pointer last night and today it’s front page news.

I remember all the times Ben Simmons made a game winning shot for LSU.

Or if we don't want to be picky and only count last second shots, I also remember all the times in the last 5 minutes of a game Ben Simmons just took over and led LSU to a win.

Or maybe I don't, I just wish it had happened. I recall one game, and one game only that Ben Simmons put LSU on his back and refused to lose, that game was at Vanderbilt. I don't know why we didn't get a full season's worth of that Ben Simmons.

Exactly.

Forced him to shoot outside shots and he was awful at it? Why was his FG% still over 50%? Sounds like he was still scoring at a very efficient clip despite this "awful shooting".

I love when people pimp Simmons FG% then deny he scored anything outside of dunks and layups. Clint Capela has a great shooting % too!

In this day and age of basketball, what exactly is the problem with this?

They tried and failed. He still scored at will at over 50% from the field.

Again, your obsession with his shooting % is noted.

I’ve never denied Simmons was good at getting to the rim and finishing.

His shot, or lack there of, was severely exposed.

And it just didn't matter because he continued to efficiently score at a high clip.

And be an elite passer and rebounder.

Yes you did

You said at the end of the year "teams took away the paint and he was awful"

He was still scoring almost 20 a night. Teams clearly didnt take away the paint

Everybody knew this, even at the beginning of the season. That just shows you how elite he was at getting to and finishing at the rim. He found a way to average nearly 20 points a game with teams packing the paint and Johnny Jones drawing up plays.

If Simmons were on this team I have no doubt in my mind Wade would find a way to space the court and force a team to either take away the drive and kick or let Simmons put up 30 a game. Simmons is an elite player and a great piece to create mismatches. Johnny was just too poor of a coach to figure out how to use him properly.

And WE are talking about which COLLEGE basketball player is best for THIS college team. The NBA and college basketball are two different games

Look I love Tremont, but a locked in Ben Simmons is better for this team and any team than Tremont.

So you can’t be more specific. Again stop making shite up. Enjoy your 5-17 shooting nights every 3 games.

Ben Simmons misses a 3 point shot and makes front page

Kendall Jenner has a better shot.

Would have liked to have seen Simmons play under Wade...even for the year.

You have to go to class to play for Will Wade though.

Man, This is a tough question.

Ben Choosing LSU over any other school showed that he really didn't give a shite about his college career. He could have gone anywhere in the country and actually competed for Championship.

I think if Ben was surrounded with the players LSU has now Will Wade may have brought the best out of him. Really hard to say. If he played like he actually cared then I'd go with Ben.

I like Waters better because we have him now, and we are winning! As for one "loving" LSU more though, I remember Waters trying for the NBA last year. Almost all of these guys would rather be in the NBA.

I'm sure Simmons would have if he played for Wade.

No one on Johnny's teams had any accountability. It wasn't just Simmons.

You are so blinded by your obsession of Simmons lack of a jumper that you took that article out of context.

My post was made on the assumption
that Simmons would’ve actually bought in to the program… Even for the nine months on campus.
