Which would you rather have leading your team? Talking strictly during their LSU days. Would Simmons in Wade’s system be good or does Waters fit the Wade mold much better?

I really liked Ben but THIS team needs Waters. He can shoot (Ben cannot, not at all) and he's disruptive on defense. Ben's best attributes wouldn't be a useful to this team as Treys are.

You take Simmons every time. I love Tremont, but people have a unfair dislike towards Simmons here.

We are talking about one of the best currently playing in the NBA vs a guy who it's still up in the air if he even has a future in the NBA.

I'm not an idiot that thinks Simmons wasn't good at LSU. He was great. However, I'm not sure how he would adapt to Wade's coaching style. Sampson couldn't adapt to it and he's in the NBA now, and rode the bench at lot last year.

Would Simmons in Wade’s system

This is the key here, I love Tre but Simmons with half a coach would be nearly unstoppable in college. He almost averaged a double double playing out of position. Absolutely unstoppable on the glass, a great defender. Waters is a tremendous college player, Simmons is a generational talent.

Look at these "dont give a shite numbers" vs Waters "give a shite numbers"

As a freshman under Johnny Jones, Simmons averaged

19.2 pts—11.8 rebs—4.8 asst—56% fg—29.0 PER

As a freshman under will wade Waters averaged

15.9 pts—3 rebs— 6 asst—41.7% fg—21.5 PER

And WE are talking about which COLLEGE basketball player is best for THIS college team. The NBA and college basketball are two different games

The way I look at it. You take Waters off of this LSU team, they would struggle heavily. And lose a lot more games.

Ben Simmons' teams at LSU already sucked, so if you take him off, they are worse, but it doesn't really matter because they sucked anyway.

I’ve never seen someone so talented have such an awful shot outside of the paint.

Simmons was nothing but a finisher at the rim.

Give me Waters every day.

Is Waters play style a better fit on this team? Probably, but in this instance the talent just outweighs the play style, especially in college. The college game is not nearly as reliant on jump shooting as the pro game.

Simmons in Wade's system and actually buying in would be FAR better than Waters. Simmons is an NBA All-Star point guard.

Lets get fricking real here. He had one of the greatest statistical seasons ever for a freshman in the NCAA.
