That penalty had a lot to do with the fumble

“Eating crow”

I don’t think anyone needs to eat crow because we beat up on a football program that is in total disarray, has a terrible D, questionable coaching, and who we played in TS.

Now, those who had us 6-6 probably should get ready for a healthy dose of Crow.

I never bought into the idea that LSU football had suddenly become without talent or was no longer capable of competing in the SEC. I have felt for a while that we have plateaued at the 9 to 10 win level. That’s one of the reasons we fired the last staff.

Hopefully, when we reach the meat of the SEC schedule, Mississippi State, Florida, Georgia, Bama, we will continue to play as we have in our first to SEC games.

Still exceeding my expectations and I said I would be right here to say I was wrong if I was. So far, I was wrong. So, here I am.

I've been saying all along that this team was going to surprise a lot of people. When I mentioned the moves O made in the offseason I was shouted down. This is why I say that negas can't be objective.

Last night was the best product all around I have seen in a long time. OL still needs work, and tackling was not great. Good effort, good execution, good game plan. We comin.

I disagreed with you that they were automatic positives, especially Ensminger because it had been so long since he was a full time OC and given Orgeron's track record hiring OCs. But, I agree that the people that said there was no way it could work were being short sided.

Four of the six TDs were scored by players that are here as a result of Eaux being the head coach.

Joe Burrow - 3 TD passes and 1 rushing TD.

Justin Jefferson - 2 TD receptions

Ja'Marr Chase - 1 TD reception

Cole Tracy - 1 FG

The other two were CEH and Brossette. And CEH was a part of Eaux's first class as HC.

Team was as dominant as I have seen a LSU team in recent years, especially in the 1st half.
CEO and his staff are making the right calls and adjustments. The team is executing and playing smart FB. We have play-makers on every unit (OFF, DEF, ST), and at every level. I still believe our best FB is still ahead of us.

Is Sullivan in the booth with E still?I did not see him,and wondered did that have anything to do with seemingly more dynamic play calling.
Had the same thought. Communication to field seems faster too. Would think that would have something to do with it also. It's nice to be able to see the QB and C survey the defense and make adjustments if necessary.

I saw a glimmer of our "regressive offense" trying to creep back in at the start of the 3rd qtr, like it has the previous 4 games (and 4 years). Either Orgeron or Sullivan nipped that shite in the bud I guess. It's been a pattern for Ensminger. I'm assuming it took an alternate voice to prevent it. First 2nd half series was another 3-out. The next one we threw on first downs, got either TE or RB in routes (alternating, keeping one in for protection). The opposite of what we tend to do coming out of locker room.

I am also going to note alternating the extra protection helps alot. What we've seen previously, is when we keep them in the LBs blitz off that read. We made the decision easier for those LBs, and a quicker read.

So for every extra protector we kept in, we added a rusher. That's why in our max protect, we kept seeing more pressure (because that LB isn't going to run right at RB, he's going to twist/or loop). It was self-defeating and predictable. But by introducing one of the two into the routes, we made the LBs hesitate just a tick of the clock to decide rush or cover, and took away 1 rusher.

We get that you fking hate the coach. But at least have a smidge of happiness that the team that you're allegedly a fan of won. You don't have to want for a program downfall so you can get your jollies and be able to say "I told you so". You can always root for someone else, dickbag.

9th in total offense and 5th in defense. The penalties kept 2 drive alive and turned it over 3 times where one was called back due to a penalty. A smart coach would have gone for it twice on fourth down. He sucks and they kept a lot of drives alive with VERY VERY BAD penalties at bad times.

The only thing that sucks is your post.

Thank you Debbie Downer.

So you’re saying that in the inch line and down 28-3 at the end of a half, you wouldn’t go for it? He did that shite twice.
If so, you’ve never played any Competitive sport except Xbox.

“Four of six TDs”

You act like this is the 1st time LSU has had new to the program players contribute. It isn’t. Joe had a great game and he was a great find by the LSU staff.

LSU had the talent to go 11-2 last season. They didn’t and it had a lot more to do with coaching than talent. imo

I picked LSU at 10-2. I picked Old Miss game game at 45-17 LSU. LSU is and has been a talented football program. It didn’t surprise me that we were able to beat up on a pretty bad program and it hasn’t surprised me we could be 5-0. It’s not the 1st we been 5-0.

I had us going 10-2 (losing to UGA & aTm) so I’m still on target.

The team played a great game last night and it was nice to see them play good football for the entire game for a change. That's what is going to be needed to be able to complete with some of the upcoming opponents.

I though the team would be 4-1 or 3-2 up to this point so I'm happy to see them at 5-0. Before the season started, I thought the team would go 8-4. But now, I don't see 4 losses with the teams we have left. With the way the team played last night, even though it was against Ole Miss, I only see Georgia and Alabama as teams that should be dogfights.

10-2 is a real possibility and maybe even 11-1. Hell, if we get a few breaks againta Alabama, 12-0 might even be possible.

Coach o, his staff and his team deserve a pat on the back so far this season.
