They have all played cupcakes

LSU only had 335 yards against a South Eastern Defense that allowed over 500 yards to Monroe

Yes most had cupcakes although Auburn, A&M, Georgia have real tests they've already played.

i’m all aboard on criticizing the shite out of our offense, but some tards act as if they rather be 1-1 with a loss to Miami as long as we averaged 500+ yards per game. We haven’t trailed nor be in a position to lose either game we played thus far. Averages are stupid as shite when you’ve got a whopping 2 games played.

Bro, how would LSU have done without Aranda? Seriously, the only other defense that will be better than us in the SEC will probably be Bama.

LSU is 78 in the country in TDs (including ALL TDS), which is also the worst in the SEC. You guys yap about the win column, yet seem to not realize, that most of that is because the defense is laying the smackdown.

It is reasonable to assume that the LSU staff was hesitant to put much on film that would better prepare Auburn
auburn didn't seem to suffer from this deficiency

It's just sad really....just sad that this is what we have become with some of the best recruits in the country right here in our back yard. I wish I could explain it but I can't.

I will soak up the victories and bask in the wins for as long as I can
so were miles' number of wins commensurate with the talent he had on offense? no. this same scenario is playing out at this very moment - except WORSE

And do you think our offensive production might have some sort of bearing upon that? Or do you think we can beat Auburn, Florida, Miss State, UGA and Bama by scoring single digits each game?

33 points against miami (last I checked) is not single digits. People keep acting like stats through 2 games is indicative of how every team is which is simply untrue. We shut down the offense after going up 33-3 against Miami, and we didn't give a frick about the Southeastern game. Saahdiq Charles will be back next week and the line will be fine. I hope people aren't really crazy enough to think that we aren't gonna have a good enough offense to put up more than single digits
By the way, the defensive stats are never brought up in these discussions, and I think the real studs on this team deserve to be mentioned more.

Yes, I would be happy with a score of LSU 3/ Other Team 0 for every game remaining on the schedule.
I'd be happy with that too, but you're entirely missing my point - which is if we struggle so much offensively with Southeastern, we're probably going to lose many games against the real opponents on our schedule.

Thus the concern.

yeah, let's see how well the D holds up in 4th qtr when we can't drive the field.

I bet you probably told people they were stupid last year for the problems they saw in a blowout win and a shutout win.

To think that Jimbo could be on the west sidelines of Tiger Stadium had it not been for the buffoonery of the LSU admins.

No the offense isn't clicking but it's new with a QB who's been here for 2 months. Give it some time.

I get your point. I get you are concerned. What I also get is whether you are concerned and unhappy with the offense, or whether I am unconcerned and happy with the win... does not affect the offense nor the score of our next game. So, rather than worry, I chose to be happy with a win. You chose to worry about the offense. To each his own.

Your assumption is the offense won't change and won't improve, like under Miles. You may be right or you may be wrong. We will see a bit more evidence next game.

I view it differently.

Southeastern was a guaranteed win for us (they're not even close to the calibre of Troy or even UAB years ago).

So I really don't care that we won - that was a virtual certainty.

Since our goal shouldn't be to go 8-4, but instead to win the West and be in the hunt for the playoffs, I view these types of games as a small piece of a bigger puzzle. Winning isn't the only goal (since that's a certainty). The goal is to prepare for our tougher games - and the first one is Auburn this week.

So when we look terrible on offense against Southeastern - yes, I'm going to get very upset about that -- even though we won (again, because winning against SE was a lock). Because it shows that we're at high risk of losing against the better teams on our schedule.

So, long story short, I don't care about the Southeastern win - I care about winning the West. And what I saw against SE alarms me.

We should all agree our goal is to win the West and be in play-offs and win that.

So I really don't care that we won
I know you really don't mean that.

We had 5 key players missing for the SELA game. So, some other players got invaluable experience that may pay off against better opponents in the SEC West.

There is a old saying about playing shitty teams.... "When you play with shite, sometimes you get some on your fingers." With that in mind, I don't care how we looked against SELA... we won. You care how we looked in our victory.

Also, how we looked in the SELA game has no effect on the Auburn game. It does not increase nor decrease our risk/chance of winning against Auburn. Just like our look in the Miami game did not determine how we looked in the SELA game.

Play 'em one at a time and win each week. We will know Saturday if LSU plays the same as it did against SELA. Until then, why waste your energy being "very upset"? Your emotions will not affect how we look against, nor whether we beat Auburn.

I think the horse has been sufficiently beaten.
