You have a disturbing pattern of responding to my posts whether or not they are directed towards you. I think it's some uncontrollable obsession you have with me. Prove me wrong by not responding. I bet you can't.

Exactly-and yet you read,"shoot my dog and become an alcoholic." words I did not say. Hmmmmmm.

The defend the current regime at all cost is mind boggling considering the offense has regressed considerably and everyone knows offense has been the Achilles heel of LSU.

I am incapable of panicking after two games that resulted in WINS

Every year people say this, every year our offense sucks.

Then I'll take the wins and you can have the losses. As Coach Arnsparger used to say,"Better to learn while winning, instead of learning while losing."

Can we stop using raw yardage totals?

So getting more possessions somehow leads to fewer plays in your mind?

Means we have a short field. If we have a 46 yard touchdown drive, it's a touchdown even though we only recorded 46 yards. That's a fair point.

So teams with large leads don't pile up tons of yards?

Once we break the game open, we're going to start running more which means fewer plays. On this point, I'm more worried. I get the rationale for turtling - don't risk injuries and don't show your hand - but we have very little starting experience on offense and it's more important to get reps, especially for an August transfer quarterback.

If you cannot see how this is an accurate predictor of our future success or lack thereof, then you need to open your eyes and stop drinking the kool aid.

So wins don't count any more? It's yards per game that matter? I'll take wins over yards, every single game.
MA sighting. MA sighting.

"Wins over Yards" against Auburn and Alabama most definitely, not over Hammond Junior College.

There's no legitimate reason not to run roughshod with 50+ points against that kind of competition. 24 Offensive points is unacceptable and should be a warning sign of things to come.

Accept those "Meds" though Pump Freaks. Accept mediocrity, be blind to it and make excuses for it.

On that point for those that use that rationale...

Does not turtling up and having 3 and outs put your defense in the exact same position you are trying to avoid with your offense concerning injuries? Somebody has to be on the field. Wouldn't you rather have the ball and control of the pace than being on defense facing HUNH?

In effective offense gets your defense injured because you can't put the game away. Remember Chaisson?

(just taking your point another direction Bestbank Tiger, not saying that's your position)

How many times have we seen this unfold again and again and again?? We play a bad game, win it and then perform at a different level the next week against better competition. Happens all the time. We see one bad game and this place is up in arms about a 31-0 win bc it should have been 63-0. I'm on board with that but that doesn't mean that this team can't do a better job the following week. I hear y'all and I want a better standard on offense as well but let's give this some time to develop. Les Miles did it for years. This is one game and that's the difference. The offense ran pretty darn efficiently for the first quarter and then in spurts in the second so we know it's possible. Joe Burrow is the real deal and is a much better QB than Etling ever was period. Our OL needs some work as well as our WRs. They just don't get open in time. They don't seem to recognize when a blitz is coming and I would hope that our coaches have a different set of routes for when this occurs. You can't run long developing routes when they bring everyone. It has to be short juke moves to get open under coverage but over the rush. Maybe they just didn't plan for it. I'm not sure but these guys do need to get it together. I'm just confident that they can unlike many.

Quoted so I can come back in late November and see if your opinion has changed.
6-6 is still on the table, but 7-5 is probably where we land...unless we can win one against Auburn, Ga, Bama, MSU or A&M. Heck, Ole Miss isn’t an automatic W either.
I am not being irrational or obtuse. I honestly think this team will end up being one of the worst this century. Many of you are basing your opinions on how we’ve overcome adversity in the past 5-6 years...but we don’t have the elite players on offense we once had and we don’t have the leadership experience either.
I have no faith in O or E to be able to pull out the big wins this season. I hope I’m wrong.
