I personally beleive you can replace her with any up and Comer as long as they can recruit and hire a competent staff. It won't take much to have better coaching skills than her, she's proven that time and time again.

Alot of schools can't day they've done that..

I'm all for letting her finish out her contract, but we should not renew her.
the softball team/program is light years better program than mens basketball
scott hired a coach in football that we hope wins a natty, he did it in baseball and WBB, why would we NOT apply the same standards with softball?
i mean this is not swim, golf, beach volleyball, etc. The facilities and money put into this program are ELITE.
zero excuses to have stayed where we are. beth has been defended here long enough. she was given benefit of the doubt for 7 years now. just like when i knew les would never win shite again after 1-9 many feel that way about beth and she has never won a natty period like les did.
beth is a great pitching coach and a good coach. she has won games. guess what? les miles won games also. time to hold softball to the same standard. I mean why not? she makes what? 400k a year coaching softball? how many softball coaches get paid zero? helping develop these girls prior to college. too many. You wanna make that kinda money? PRODUCE titles. has she won the sec? sect? natty? played in natty final series yet? your choice scott. you are on the clock. as a matter of fact i am about to email scott and ask WTF are his expectations for softball.
oh and if anybody has any FARK skills see this post. may as well have fun with this.

I agree wholeheartedly that the Softball program should be held to a higher standard. The problem, I feel, is that the Athletic Department doesn't agree with me

Those words still do not mean "mediocre".
People when discussing sports have hard time with tiers. You’re either elite or mediocre. There is no in between

These stats are eye dropping. How does she have a job?

i am afraid you are right. either way we are going to find out soon. her contract is up in 2026. so 2 more seasons? f all that. if scott is delaying the inevitable just buy her out now and cut bait and go fishing.

She is the sunbelt Billy of college softball.
She is more equivalent to the Brian Kelly of College softball

Except you left out the fact that he played for championships. She has not done that.
He also took a program that was in a pitiful condition and completely rebuilt it into an SEC West title in a year with transfers and really great coaching. Considering they only had 39 roster players it’s a miracle they did as well as they did that first year.
She took over after a legend. The starting point matters, especially when a coach hasn’t done anything in the last seven years.

I font know why we don't lead the nation in sacrifice bunts every year with how inept our offense usually is. And before anyone says it's because we can't bunt, we'll that's on the coaching staff. I laugh when we're up and it's an obvious sacrifice situation, we know it, the defense knows it and she tries the old 10 and under swing away and try to fool them and further hinders our hitters. Just another example of poor coaching and there's so much more.

Beth Miles
Miles won a championship and played for another PLUS HE coached in the toughest division in the toughest conference in college football AND played a UF Urban team that won 2 titles EVERY YEAR.
I recall several weeks where there were 3 division rivals in the top 10 and some where there were 3 in the top 5 counting LSU.
He had a MUCH MUCH more difficult task than any coach in the history of this program.
You can take that from someone that has been watching since the 60’s.

In fact, the previous THREE coaches won national titles
LSU softball has NEVER won a title

I hope she watched Stanford get shut out by Texas.
At least the Gumpettes got their asses kicked. That's some good news.
