I believe he would take Verge's former role as Associate AD.
And be respinsible for OOC football scheduling.

I've already got an e-mail draft saved and ready to go.

No more Louisiana Junior Colleges on the fricking football schedule, except for the Southwest Louisiana Junior College at Lafayette Jealous Little Brother Ramblin Acadians (It's always a pleasure to kick their asses in football) and Grambling/Southern for their Band.

Tulane, SWLAJC@L, Grambling and Human Jukebox University. That's it from Louisiana. Pick 3 of those 4 Louisiana schools and that's your OOC schedule or substitute one of those for a school that's fairly close to BR with a great band. (Jacksonville State, Southern Miss or Troy)

With the tough 9 game SEC schedule, we don't need to he playing any "Major College" Clemson type games either.

I’m sure he’ll take all those demands under consideration.

Heath Schroyer shouldn’t be a part of the package.

Take this for what it's worth. If LSU hires Schroyer then Will Wade is coming to LSU. The pact between Schroyer, Wade and the LSU President is tight. You likely won't get one without the other. Mark April 1 on your calendar.

MK you seem to have heard something solid. If so, just give me a educated percentage guess on Wade being our coach in April.

You’ve seen me post so you know I’m a skeptic so I would say 75% as of now.

A skeptic at 75% sounds good to me.

Some won't want to hear it, but Verge is simply a "yes man". You don't force out the former AD because you don't like how he is running things just to put is 2nd in command in charge unless the new guy is going to do things the way you want them done. That may not be the right way to handle things, but with this political group that is the way they are being handled.

Agreed. Verge also watched his predecessor fired because he bucked the governor on Wade. I'm sure he's not going to make the same mistake.

Also, Verge was likely a compromise to get Rousse approved by certain Board members.

why ten days? Why hasn't it occurred already?

Seriously, is there a reason LSU is delaying? Does it save us money with MM's buyout?

If not, pull the trigger and get it done. If Wade isn't coming, let the world know we're in the market for a new coach.

Unless I'm missing something, this delay doesn't make sense.

Yes.

You are missing something.

why ten days?

Bc Wade becomes $2m cheaper in 10 days.

I imagine we would if Wade wasnt coming. The fact that we havent leads me to believe we are waiting the 10 days to fire MM so that it doesnt muddy the waters for the buyout (tampering), or put unnecessary scrutiny on him while waiting it out. His response when asked was "is the job even open down there? No? Im happy here".

Not saying you’re wrong—do you think McMahon has already been fired and is looking for another job? Or are they stringing him along?
