Heath Schroyer is a douche nozzle. Doesn’t fit the culture and got really lucky that he was friends with Will Wade who has drug him up the ladder. Go look at his track record prior to Wade.

I keep seeing comments like these and I actually very much appreciate them, because it makes it incredibly easy to tell who is a complete fricking moron

You're a loser, son.

If this is true, going to all this effort to try and entice Wade is so pathetic and below LSU.

Done deal. What I’m hearing.

If you’re right about this it will be the first time.

WW was supposed to be here 3 days ago on Friday
Even this alt, “American Gangster”, with his 21 posts has told us
- an MMR plane was headed to Raleigh on 2/25
- on 2/26 he tells us MM is coming back after endorsement from EJ Kuiper
- on 3/4 Landry is aligning the pieces to bring back Wade
- on 3/17, WW will definitely be the HC at LSU… we would know by Monday (today)
- expect Schroyer announcement “this week”

I think it’s outstanding they are bringing in Schroyer . It puts someone that will be specializing in mens basketball which is much needed

Who cares??
If he is the last piece to the Wade puzzle, welcome aboard!!!!
Kiffin and Wade at LSU would be EPIC.

Then you look at the circumstances surrounding the firing of Kelly and his own ultimate termination. I think it’s easy to say that the Woodward legacy won’t be remembered fondled. Regardless of whether or not Wade ever returns and/or has significant success.
The best things that Woodward did were behind the scenes. For all of his faults, and they are well documented, there was a lot to fix and upgrade after that sniveling weasel Alleva. Woody was a big upgrade over him and improved athletic fundraising and the overall budget management, which we really needed.
While we all know Woody was late to the game on the way NIL ended up being used, he still got it in gear and left his successors with a first-class setup they were able to come in and use to full effect very quickly, in spite of the staff overhaul on the GM side. We wouldn’t have the roster we do right now if that hadn’t been in place.
We all know Woody’s flaws and mistakes, but those are two positive things that allowed Rousse, Verge, and Kiffin to come in and focus on rebuilding football immediately, rather than having to overhaul the entire athletic department.
Whatever happens, it’s past time to move on from McMahon.

I want Wade as much as the next guy. Heath Schroyer shouldn’t be a part of the package.

This thread brought all of the pearl-clutching McMen. You can sense their pissiness with every post.

You don’t want to support a revenue generating, profitable sport?
It’s profitable because the SEC is profitable without spending any money. The question is whether additional money spent on MBB would generate incrementally more profits than money spent elsewhere. And perhaps more importantly as a fan would more money spent on MBB produce incrementally more athletic success than money spent elsewhere. It’s possible that the financial ROI might be better but less likely that the athletic ROI would be better given the insane amount of money spent on MBB by other SEC teams and by basketball first schools in the other power conferences.

So use the small profits on more dead money buyouts?

is he going to be an assistant AD? I mean we already have Verge or is he stepping down?
I believe he would take Verge's former role as Associate AD.
If Schroyer is hired it feels like Wade returning would be a foregone conclusion. However, even if not, it would still be nice to have someone who knows basketball in the department.

Yep
Also gives Landry Inc. a well-placed interim AD if/when the next AD coup comes around (maybe I’ve been an LSU fan too long)

Some won't want to hear it, but Verge is simply a "yes man". You don't force out the former AD because you don't like how he is running things just to put is 2nd in command in charge unless the new guy is going to do things the way you want them done. That may not be the right way to handle things, but with this political group that is the way they are being handled.
