Have to include Josh Reed. He had the most dominating couple of seasons at wr that I’ve ever seen.

I do not think Jacob Hester is top 4

Hester had a good game and a decent season. He isn't even top 40.

Hard to know what you mean by "top" but, trying to be objective, here's a list of those that achieved (or will achieve) the highest honor in football....

Already in Pro HOF
Steve Van Buren
Y.A. Tittle
Jim Taylor
Johnny Robinson
Kevin Mawae

Will be in Pro HOF
Alan Faneca
Patrick Peterson

May get into Pro HOF
Jamal Adams
Andrew Whitworth

No list of all time greats is complete without the great SVB.

Tommy Casanova needs to be listed.

Jacob Hester is a fan favorite and great player.
I’m gonna assume without reading entire thread someone has threw race card already.

Why?

And I don’t really care if he’s 8 or 9 or 15th... grand scheme of things does it really matter?

He was a badass, dependable, tough, producing football player at LSU who made his team better.

That describes at least a handful of players on every lsu team every year. It isn't an argument for the best of all time.

I'm not going to pick any I wasn't alive to see play, and these 8 are in no particular order.

Tyrann Mathieu
PP7
Kevin Faulk
Devin White
Michael Clayton
Glen Dorsey
Corey Webster
Bradie James

Jerry Stovall is being criminally disrespected in this thread. 1962 Heisman Runner-up, should have won it. Would have been 2 Heismans for LSU in 4 years.

Seems to me the list is for "All Time LSU players", and not LSU players who had best pro careers.
Thus, I list Michael Brooks, but not Whitworth, YAT, Van Buren etc.

One can argue that Mr. Cannon should be #1. Only Heisman winner in school history, 2X unanimous 1st team All-American, 2X SEC player of the year & won A Natty. 1A & 1B?

There is a lot more that goes into this than you think.

Are we talking all time greats in only college? Only Pros? Combo of college and pros?

If you want to do this kind of thread you really have to list out the credentials that you want people to base their decisions off of.

If you're talking about a battle of wits, that wouldn't be fair. You're half armed.
