This is impossible. So many great players you have to leave off. Especially the last 30 years or so.

Trying to fit Charles Alexander and Dalton Hilliard somewhere in there, but it's hard.

So many GREAT players. I wish they would all stay 4 years so we could compare apples to apples. Here goes:
1. Tommy Casanova
2. Billy Cannon
3. Jimmy Taylor
4. Bert Jones
5. Kevin Faulk
6. Alan Faneca
7. Glen Dorsey
8. Tyrann Mathieu

NOTE: I think one of the criteria should be consensus All-American if you want to narrow things down considerably. I tried to mix up the offense and defense.
Devin White and Ali Highsmith would have been my top 2 linebackers. So many awesome players. You could almost start a thread on position by position and still have valid arguments for every position. Wow! That was a tough one.

+1. Josh Reed was incredible. He was a running back that could catch the football w the best of them. When he ran his routes he usually had 5+ yards of separation on the defender. He was extra special. Crazy good!

A list of all time LSU players that includes Hester and excludes Casanova is laughable. I like Hester and I understand he’s a fan favorite but he’s not in the same league as a score or more of former Tiger players.
This is a lot tougher for me than most of you realize. Hester delivered victories over Florida 2007, Alabama 2007 (he helped this at least) and #1Ohio State BCSNC. (third touchdown and huge runs throughout) Hester is a bull. Tommy was a special teams, safety, cornerback ace. Man these two were money.

He was a true All American converted receiver. (originally a running back)

Matt Flynn
Devin White
Tyrann Mathieu
Josh Reed
Glenn Dorsey
Andrew Whitworth
Marcus Spears

Cecil Collins could have been the GOAT to wear purple & gold but....
