1. Kiffin will be fine

2. Brutal loss because winnable game, lots of terrible officiating, and opportunities to put it away but we didn’t. It happens.

3. Blake Baker’s future should be in question pending results the remainder of the season — this is probably the only thing I think was super valid in the fanbase’s reaction & the only point I haven’t cooled on.

Not just one game in isolation, he is stacking bad performances at this point.

4. Kiffin does seem to be out of sorts in terms of body language etc… but I understand we’ve caught some tough breaks, he has been under constant attack, and the guy is human. Always been a little weird, so I won’t read too much into it.

Just keep the team bought in, let’s see some improvement, and have the team play up to its potential.

I don’t think we actually finish 7-5 as some are predicting. It’s possible, but I think they dig in and finish strong.

If they don’t, I think Baker has to be the first place you look despite the excellent recruiting. It’s not the stats, he got clowned Saturday & it’s not the first time.

Nothing is ever as bad or as good as it seems.

Except when it is.

Our OL last year turned out to be as bad as it seemed.

Our offense in 2019 generally turned out to be as good as it seemed.

The 2011 title game felt like the nail in Les Miles’ coffin & it was.

I could go on.

Its time to move on from the KY loss and move forward. In my mind its baseball season and rhat should be the focus.

I watched him a lot at Ole Miss. He doesn’t seem to be enjoying his time at LSU. He might not be somebody who can perform when there’s a lot of pressure. He was like this at USC… now here…

Felt like that Saturday night and Sunday morning. If we lose to MSU, I’m with you.

Not quite there yet. Been a weird season all around CFB. Let’s see what happens.

Except for the very next year he was one screen pass away from sec championship and probably a national title

The whole renegade persona heaped on him is media driven and I think is overdone bullshite. It doesn’t help that the SEC leadership has a hard on for LSU.

In fairness I’ve never seen a slander campaign like the one against Kiffin.

Forces have been coordinating against him since we tried to recruit the Washington QB, and it hasn’t stopped.

Win and that goes away.

We definitely got the right guy to manage a program through CFB chaos, so of course CFB wants to put the genie back in the bottle now. They can try… in the long run ain’t gonna happen.

That’s quite the nail considering he coached here 5 years after that game.

Alright 2011 kicked him in the coffin & the screen pass was the nail. The point remains lol.

Sometimes it’s as good as it seems.
Sometimes it’s as bad as it seems.

Last weekend was big, but let’s see how this plays out.

Dude, it is wild that people are seemingly okay thinking 7-5 is on the table.

BK didn't have that kind of leash here, even in year 1.

I agree that Kiffin is a massive upgrade, I'm still happy with the hire, I do think he will put together good teams while he's here etc.

But if he goes 7-5 this year, that should not just be chalked up to "Well, it's year 1 and we had some injuries"

Even if the playoff is off the table, you cannot finish up this season any worse than 8-4. Figure out a way to get it done.

I agree. I’m just not buying 7-5 til I see it.

If we come out of this 9-3 I feel okay going into year 2.

I think an offensive coach spending a year with a QB is a big deal & something being overlooked a bit here.

9-3 is going to be equivalent to 6-6 (outside looking in). I don’t think this club can defeat Alabam, and I’m worried they’ll find a way to piss it away up there at stupid rocky top. I say 8-4 at best. But again, that 8-4 is equivalent to 6-6 (some piece of shite toilet bowl).

So you can pick 9-3 or 6-6… no preference?

6 years of declining, rotting corpse that was ultimately rehabbed by Ed Orgeron lol.

You people must have forgotten what it was like to get to November & know with absolute certainty that we would be playing rugby against a stacked box against teams with similar talent + lose by 30-40 / lose ToP by a quarter due to the inability to convert a first down because nobody respected our ability to throw 15 yards.

Must’ve forgotten what it was like to not be able to even imagine the QB room we have today . We squandered Mettenberger and OBJ because we only threw when we had to even with those guys. No QB wanted to play here by the end.
