I want Juluke too. That would further lockdown LA for recruiting.

Do we know if he's a good coach though?

UGA folks say he's not a big time recruiter, but a technical guru. Which is what I'd prefer. We good on recruitin'

he will be on a SEC staff eventually, and I would rather him be on LSU's staff
He just has to get the proper college experience first.

Les made a couple shaky hires after Monken left...McCarthy and Gonzo but Henry was a good one. Agree we need a few hands-on guys like Ball, Grimes and O on staff. McCardell or Juluke were my guys but this is a good hire. Much better than the Arkansas guy.

We do know that he's spent far less time coaching WRs than Ball.

If O and Frank can't lock down La, then nobody can.

to be fair, people on this board praised Gonzo being hired.

I agree here, if O, Frank and Steele cant get the guys we needs then Juluke wouldnt matter. I like a technical coach.

They were pretty mad. Makes me feel good about the hire.

Same here. We don't need another big-time recruiter, just someone who can hold his own. I really like what I'm hearing about his coaching.

Are georgia fans sad or happy about this? Seems like they aren't sad to see him go

He's a wide receivers coach...I doubt you'd see many teams be either happy or sad to see theirs go. As mentioned many times already, he's a good coach that is a little lacking in recruiting. With the way LSU recruits though that shoudln't really be an issue. Would I have like to have kept him? Yeah, probably just for continuity. Am I upset he's gone? Not really, he's a position coach.

Unless you're talking about an elite, top of their profession in the entire country type of position coach, one leaving doesn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of thigns.

LOL at dude earlier thinking this is "getting" UGA.

he has the skins on the wall as a coach and despite what UGA fans say , recruits seem to be upset about him leaving and Mike D vouched for him as a recruiter on 104.9 yesterday.

I'm ok with it

"Ball is a great coach. Teaches incredible discipline in route running, blocking, and constant hands drills." Said it "doesn't matter how talented you are, if you can't do little things right you aren't getting on the field. Fans will get frustrated at that though"

Also said players love him, but he's an average recruiter. He will focus on 1 or 2 guys a year and will get them, but doesn't cover a lot of ground and doesn't pull surprises on NSD or anything like that.

Like we stated previously, LSU has a staff full of "Recruiters" and really needs a great technical coach at the WR position.

All the little 12, 13 and 14 year old Rant "Non-Athletes" and their obsession with having an entire coaching staff comprised of "Great Recruiters" that can't coach a lick.

Can y'all imagine Aggie fans if they were the ones to get Ball?

Well the WR recruits apparently love him.

And everyone is saying he's a damn solid position coach.

I am happy.

Do the people who want Julukke realize he only signed one player from NOLA last year?
