Really? What SEC West team played in the SECCG in 2005

thats not contention for a national championship. We had no shot at going with USC and OU ahead of us and losing that Tennessee game early on.

Finished #3 in Nation in 2006...way off huh?

again, was never in contention for the NC.

Then by that token, UA is NOT in contention for the NC this season. Cause when they lose to UF, Texas will be there. So they really have no shot at the NC and the SECCG game is in reality their bowl game this season?

LSU does not have the developed talent of Bama across the lines. Its just a fact

Wonder if you would be saying that if a much lower ranked LSU team actually won like they should have.

And wondering why you think UA has more "developed" talent? Is it from watching them flounder their way barely holding on against teams much lower ranked then them???

I would love to hear who LSU "should" have that is a "LOT BETTER" than Miles.

I mean dude, this you can just see. Our o-line has trouble protecting the passer and opening holes and the d-line gets no pressure.

116 other teams, including Southern Cal,Oklahoma,Alabama and Texas would have liked to have been #3 that season.

sure would have. my point was Meyer being in contention for championships compared to Miles. The guy said Florida wasn't at an elite level or whatever it is he said...

Tahel, it's all about saban and coaching, these guys don't have the intuition for deeper thoughts.

Urban. Has tebow. It's really going to be interested if he has any more plays on 3rd and short besides qb keeper

This "YOU" can just see. But again I think you are confusing opinion with fact. Just cause "YOU" see something... doesn't make it fact. And no offense, but I think your "opinion" is pretty fricked. Sorry. I think you are just a hating negatiger. Sorry... just my opinion.

Here is a fact for you though...

UA has accomplished NOTHING yet. They have been doing it against lesser opponents too. Did UA play a #1 and a #2. So pumping their shite is retarded... IMO.

UF is a different story.

But if injuries and the Perrilouser situation played out different... (and bad refs) we would have won the UA game. Then comparing LSU's line to UA's would be irrelevant.

UA is nothing. Wishing we were any way like them is sad.

Ya, I love the Rantards that come here spouting shite about Miles. Apparently they can't see Saban throwing his headset around bitching at players. I guess he was doing that this weekend cause he was happy with his players... since his team is obviously "more disciplined". LOL!

And then when you ask these Rantards who they think would be "MUCH BETTER" coaching at LSU, they don't respond. They can critize but they refuse to put out their own ideas for fear of looking stupid.

I can see Elleshoe wanting Pete Carroll here. Hell, Pete can't even handle the joke Pac1, how the hell could he take LSU to the "next level"

You people keep on laughing about this. Fact is, if Miles left in the next year or two, Tubby absolutely would be one of the finalists for the LSU job, and there's a great chance he would ultimately get it. Some of you think its crazy, but it far from that.

Not saying you are wrong. But why would Miles leave in a year? Where would he go? Michigan? They have Rodriguez. Please... the only place that would force a coach out that soon is LSU.

I hope by finalist, you mean along with 100 other finalists. I'll take Lou Holtz before Tubby

Yea, Michigan. Have you seen them play? Shitty talent. RR is gagging in Ann Arbor and the fans aren't happy.

I don't think with 100 other finalists. Tubby would fight his arse off for the LSU job. He's a very qualified candidate.

Maybe someone else posted this. I don't know because I am not going to read through.

When DiNardo was canned Tubesteak was set to come to LSU, but the SEC commish told him to reign it in. He caused problems in the conference when he left Ole Miss for the Barn and if, after one year, he bolted that school for LSU then it would cause even bigger problems.

Tubesteak and the Little Prickster were friends so Tubby suggested him to Sexton, or whatever that guy's name is.

That is how Little Nicky landed at LSU and how the Tubesteak stayed at the Barn.

I don't want to ever see either one of those sons of bitches coaching LSU again/ever.

Auburn got rid of Tubs because of his lack of recruiting, primarily his inability to recruit against Saban.

Do you guys really think he would fit in at LSU given the fact that he couldn't recruit worth a shite his last few years at AU?

IMO, LSU can and will do much better than Tubs when the time comes to hire a new coach.

While recruiting played a part in it, it was more than just that.

This 1000%

Bob Stoops much better fit for the LSU job. But I doubt LSU would have the balls to gage his interest. No instead they will TAKE A CHANCE and hire another up and comer. Or take a chance and hire a NFLer.

My uninformed impression is that Tubbs would have liked to come here. He was a great coach but I wouldn't want him.
