Auburn got rid of Tubs because of his lack of recruiting, primarily his inability to recruit against Saban.

Do you guys really think he would fit in at LSU given the fact that he couldn't recruit worth a shite his last few years at AU?

IMO, LSU can and will do much better than Tubs when the time comes to hire a new coach.

Tubbs was 13-0 at Auburn...Saban or Miles has never done that at LSU..

Tubberville would be scary good at LSU...

Is there a job opening on the LSU coaching staff that I am not familiar with?

No saban did what Saban does and that is he locked down the state of ala for bama just as he did with LA for LSU. Tubby was in a no win. Nick Saban plus the pre-game Bear Bryant video..your going to Bama. Chizick (sp) will find this out soon enough.
Wondering what Tubby could do with LSU like talent and all the recruiting advantages..

pretty well known while he was at OM, he came from Miami after all.

most of the media felt he was a snake oil salesman and that he was pretty underhanded in his recruiting practices. Nothing new there really

check that, I forgot about the 13-0 season at Auburn...

I still can't shake the deep, deep resentment I have for this man...I really don't know if I could support him if he was our coach...I pray we don't have to find out...

Tubbs was one of the best coaches in the SEC.

Like Miles is NOW!

He was at least on Meyer's level IMO.

Maybe as far as being an a-hole.

He coached at schools that were difficult jobs compared to LSU and was very competitive with LSU.

Do you read the boards? There is no job as hard as LSU. Look at all the Rantards here. The only place you can post 3 consecutive 10 win seasons... a NC... Great Bowl record... blahblahblah and still be wanted by many to be hung.

He would be great here if the situation was ever there.

Disagree! But it would only be for a couple seasons, then the Rantards would want him fired so they can bring in Carroll... only to have him fired 2 seasons later... to bring in the next whipping boy.

Auburn has always taken a back seat to Bama recruiting, even during the Shula years. I would love Tubbs at LSU, but I think he got burned the frick out at Auburn. It might be another case of just dialing it in, like Spurrier is doing at USCe.

some of you and your blind love for Miles is outrageous. There are so many coaches that, with our talent, would be blowing teams out of the water. Not going damn near .500 in SEC play over the last 2 seasons.
