He dosent seem to have ability to cover the lòng ball. Surgeries may have a lot to do with that. I am used to the Adams and Reed type Safeties. WRs used to fear catching a ball over the middle. I may be spoiled.

I totally agree with you in that respect. Honestly, Harris should be playing more of a strong safety spot. Hampton was supposed to be playing more of the centerfield free spot but he has just played lost this season. Hampton not being able to take that next step is what has hurt our back end. It forces #7 to have to play more of the strong role and he has gotten to big to play safety. He will be a linebacker at the next level. Problem is our safety play in well below average for what we as a fan base have come to expect.

Honestly
Idk what’s going on with our safeties.

They just always seem to be in no man’s land.

Our safety use has been downright puzzling.

But it was nice to at least see Harris make some Tackles on the outside runs and sweeps.

Yep I noticed Todd being very aggressive towards the ball and tackling well today. Don’t see how anyone could disagree with that

He was OK at best, but he did not make plays when I thought he was in great position to make the play (The long pass), as he moved in slowly (almost too late) to make the hit.

This. Ryan and Davis will start over anything we have now. Our safeties are a liability.

He missed one on the long TD but he was making plays in the run game like I haven’t seen of him all year. Was good to see some aggressive play.

I noticed that too. He actually made some wrap up tackles at the LOS. Looked much better.

Seriously? He has been bad and is bad. He sits back and lets the runner come to him rather than attack the runner for a far less gain. Our safety play is as bad as i can ever remember seeing.
