I've been saying that if all the "fans" here showed as much passion for the actual games in T.S. as their hate for Coach O & J.A. Tiger Stadium would be packed for 4 quarters every game. It's always easy to hate; showing support takes a bit more effort. Thus, all the haters here vs supporters.

one of the effects of intelligence is a more negative mindset, because it takes intelligence to offer critical thinking/analysis of situations, so seeing the negative potential is much more available for them

You are confusing the word "negative" with the word "realist". Intelligent people can be either sunnily optimistic or painfully pessimistic. What they share is a respect for knowledge, fact, truth, etc. You know, reality. You and I got the same set of facts yesterday. How we choose to deal with it is not a test of intellectual prowess, it is a test of maturity, experience and perspective.
