I never said that.

So you think recruiting services always get it right? No other programs have 2 and 3 star recruits go on to make it to the nfl...and have 4-5 star talent that don't? well frick why even have them go to college? why have combines?

Great players generally win championships right?

What would be the resons why a team loaded with great talent wouldn't win championships?

This is a pertinent question.

Miles has had one critical area of poor development and that has been at QB

Out of the 50 or so LSU players in the NFL, only a few (around 5) are OL. This is glaring, especially since Miles played OL at Michigan.

NFL teams draft natural talent. Most of the time they don't care about development in college because they will just develop these guys themselves.

this, and expand to all pro teams, in many cases the draftee is needed to be untaught some of the things they learned in college, also, I have a friend that played fifteen seasons in the majors who told me that after he was drafted, his team breathed a sigh of relief that he was out of LSU because of what Skip was doing to his arm and said that was a common theme around the league

I'll agree that CLM recruits and develops great NFL talent....except at one position, QB. He does recruit talent at the position, BUT, I don't care how good the rest of the team is, the QB is vital. Prime exmple, 2011. LSU lost that championship because of QB play, plain and simple. Sure, it was good most of the time, but not when it really counted. Bama's QB never had a bad game, why should ours.

The difference could be seen again in last weeks game. Alabama was using a first year starter, who was recruited as a running back, incidentally, and came up with the big plays when needed. That goes to coaching and development. CLM will always field a contender, with great players, but until that position is better coached....well, I dunno.

the nfl loves players that are coached by miles 'cause they're not coached up all the way, it's mostly unused raw talent that nfl teams can mold

that's whay bama players are busts 'cause they have been coached well and they can't unlearn techniques

I didn't say that. Terrence Toliver was a 5 star guy and can't make a practice squad. But I just listed 15 guys who were rated 2-3 stars that have excelled. They were ALL given the wrong score by recruiting services?

We have had a few OL suffer injuries that ruined their careers, so that might be a factor. However we are in the midst of putting some top tier NFL talent OL in the league. OL has not ever been as glaring and as disappointing as the QB play and play calling.

There is a difference between developing talent and NFL teams recognizing talent. We bring in guys that the NFL love yet we don't do much with them here. It's obvious we aren't developing then enough.

Do we have a record number of players drafted in the last three years, not to mention the undrafted free agents doing so well in the NFL? I guess that's Sabans players to!

Y'all need to stop. It's been clear for years now that there are people who love Les, people who hate him and some who just don't give a shite. In my opinion none of those 3 groups are ever changing their mind about the dude.

Let the haters hate, the lovers love and the lazy lazy and move the frick on.

I thought all this QB problem was gonna be solved with us hiring Cam Cameron. What has he done to improve the QB's this year? They are still at the same point as when the season started.

man... i like your thought process,

but can you really call that Developing players?

id call that, a miss by the recruiting services and a good job spotting talent by CLM.

tyrann mathieu was doing the things he did his whole career from day one.

a lot of those names that you mentioned were the same way, maybe not from day one, but they didn't develop, they were just underrated people who could play ball

There are only 2 coaches who can say they did better.

I'm sorry did they have a record number of players get drafted?

So is it possible some coaches can suceed with less talent? If so why? scheme? coaching?
