yea im really not worried about UNC scoring on us. I think our D will shut them down. I just hate when bad/mediocre QB's seem to have the game of their life against us and suck afterwards or had sucked previously

love how the McNeese St fan is basing all of his assesements of our squad based on the way these kids played in a season opener against them 2 years ago as Sophomores.

We were a score from beating you guys. Regardless of it being 2 years ago, it never should have happened. Eat me.

if the Dline has anything resembling a pass rush on UNC, our secondary is going to have a field day with him

Some of those comments

They are pre-season ranked and have one awesome defense and there're comments about "can't wait for basketball season." They'll never get over the football hump if their fans are not into it.

Yes it will - it will be because LSU has a YATES starting at QB

That doesn't really detract from his point.

If teams in the SEC are generally stronger than teams in the ACC, then simply showing an average doesn't prove anything. It's not an apples to apples comparison.

LSU fans have obviously downgraded the ACC because of well they are the ACC and not the SEC. Over past 10 yeas however I believe the SEC only has a 55-57%% winning percentage over the ACC. (I am to lazy to look that up but in 08 the number was 56% for previous 10 years)

Again, that's a stat...it's just not telling.

Is it top tier SEC teams against top tier ACC teams? Bottom vs. Top? Middle vs. Middle? Do you have any idea.

I think it is pretty humorous that you really question whether or not the SEC is stronger than the ACC. It says a lot about your knowledge.

Regardless of how good or bad their QB is, it would really help if we put some pressure on him. Running for his life won't help him any.

It is funny you think that the ACC is that much lower. Florida and Alabama are the top 2 teams in the SEC the rest of league would challenge in the ACC but no promise to win.

Of course if you thought about this then you would have to think long term which many are incapable of doing. If an ACC team joined the SEC they would not only have more money to upgrade facilities but they would also have a different recruiting ground. Just as an SEC team joining the ACC would have less money and lose recruiting ground because certain players want to play for certain conferences.

Of course you are not looking for stats you are looking for opinions that mirror your own. That is basically the bottom line here.

Just so you know it is
GT- Georgia
Clemson- South Carolina
Vandy- Wake Forest
Florida State - Florida

those are the games that happen every year, other than that it takes into account regular season games and bowl games. Of course even that isn't enough for you because well you will always have an excuse. It is common practice with many among here. If any SEC team was in any other conference they would go undefeated every single year.

Butch Davis must be a horrible coach and game planner to announce his starter already. This allows us to prepare better.

So, your point is that if the ACC wasn't the ACC and in fact was the SEC things would be different?

The ACC is what it is. And, the conference top to bottom is CLEARLY inferior to the SEC. And, it has been like this for an extended period of time. I find it amusing that you don't realize this.

But, your opinion is duly noted. You believe that the ACC is as strong of a conference as the SEC. Ok.

I wasn't trying to say us beating Rutgers is a marquee win, just saying that was his best performance.

The OL will not be a weak link this year.

You hope. Most of your starters missed spring ball because of injury. You guys are just a couple of sprained ankles away from having the same problems as last year. You have no depth.

I'm not saying LSU has a lot more of it on the O-line, but I believe your O-line will prove to be your weak link, followed closely by Yates.

The Heels' best bet to move the ball be to have Renner see significant time. The problem is he doesn't have the experience.

BTW, other than Little, who ya got for playmakers? I know he was about it last year for UNC.

reading comprehension could be your friend. i never said the acc was on par with sec, i stated that it is not as far off as you all are making it seem. however you will read it how you want because of blind homerism. no team in acc can match up with florida and alabama but many can match up with that second tier of sec teams. especially the lsu team that has been on field previous 2 seasons. of course none of that matters cause you believe sec is so far ahead of other conferences it doesn't matter.
