I'm sure it's just like everywhere else, just put it in a cup and you'll be fine.

I guess that's why we're ranked ahead of you guys...
My preliminary estimate when I thought it might only be Austin out was 20-17 LSU, now with more uncertainty of who's playing, I'm gonna go 27-17 LSU
You can make a lot on insults about UNC, but lets not talk about our women man. It's a freakin paradise here.

I'll be headed that way from Chapel Hill Friday night. Section 127 row 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think you are all misinformed considering that you all think that "all we care about is basketball." Simply not true. There is an ever growing population of football fans growing in North Carolina as the program gets more and more attention. 5 years ago, you'd be exactly right because we were winning about 3 games a year, but it's starting to change here in Chapel Hill.
I can attest to the statements that our basketball crowd is very wine and cheese. That's because most of our season ticket holders in the lower level of the Dean Dome are elder doners who got those seats because it was them who did most of the funding for the Dean Dome.

And to the Rutgers fan, it's not always like that. I know that when Rutgers comes to town, the crowd really isn't that into it, mainly because Rutgers isn't any good. However, when ACC play rolls around and other huge non-conference games (MSU, UK, etc.) it's down right deafening in there.
That should really be you guys' state of mind at this point BT
Lets not get ahead of ourselves pal. Nobody knows the extent of the investigation, so we really can't make sound judgments on how the game will turn out. If you think that LSU was going to "stomp a mud hole in there asses" before all of this came out, then you are very mistaken.

GO HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!

To answer that question from Catman, it's because our fanbase is predominantly basketball based, just as I stated earlier. I'd be a fool to sit here and say we have more football fans than you guys. However, combined with all the sports, it's not even a comparison. UNC is basically a brand, and that's thanks to Michael Jordan.
Our special teams are good, but not great. I don't see us giving up the big play there.

Our kicker (Casey Barth) is extremely reliable inside of 40 yards or so. Outside of that he's really unreliable.

Little shared the job with Johnny White. Here's a little more on him and his career if you wish to read it: LINK

Coverage is good. They're fast and tackle very well.

We're already gonna be playing you guys without Marvin Austin so beggars can't be choosers :)

I wasn't trying to say us beating Rutgers is a marquee win, just saying that was his best performance.

Nope...born and raised in North Carolina

Not saying that Yates is a good QB by any means, but a lot of last years failures can be attributed to the lack of good receivers. If you go back to our 2008 season, Yates was playing very well before he got injured in the VT game. His best performance was at Rutgers where we took them behind the woodshed 44-12.

I don't think he's as good as he showed then, nor as he as bad as he showed last year.

re: Crowd breakdown for LSU-UNC

Bulk, I'm not trying to say that we have a larger FOOTBALL following. I'm saying that we have a much larger fanbase in general. And by me saying that we're getting "very excited about football" I mean that all the strictly basketball fans are now getting on the football bandwagon.

I've heard that it really strikes a nerve when people talk about "the corndog smell" to LSU fans...is that true?
Saying that UNC doesn't have the following that LSU has is an inaccurate statement. UNC has one of the biggest followings in the NCAA (probably only behind the likes of Texas and USC). Although this is mainly due to basketball success, people are VERY exited about football up here.

I think it's gonna be more or less split right down the middle, maybe a slight edge to LSU. 52/48
