First thing I did when I saw this story was lookup where he is from: Missouri City, Texas a/k/a Moe City - not the nicest place to grow up.
The reality of the matter is that here in Texas, conflicts related to disrespect quite often escalate in such a manner.
This is why it is important to be respectful to others.

It depends on how talented and valuable the player is. In my opinion Jordan Elliott is well below that threshold but we will see what happens.
