Unfortunately, when your home and livelihood are destroyed, attending sporting events becomes secondary in nature.

Nope it is woke arse LSU politics and Communism JBE style. Pure and simple. Every last one of them can kiss my formerly season ticket holding arse.

Let's all gather together and watch teenagers play football and if COVID gets us, it's ok.... because we made a choice. ? ?

You could say the same thing for obesity(stadium dogs) alcoholism (stadium beer) and car wrecks on the way home (stadium traffic rage) . But, none of that is even a thought in your liberal little brain....
Just Covid.

Those people are idiots. Don’t want the vaccine? Fine. Get a negative test, then. It’s really not that big of a deal.

People who are against having to get a negative test and are anti-vax remind me of Democrats who are against voter ID laws but swear that the election wasn’t rigged.

This is just not true - We sold out the stadium in 2008 THE DAY of a hurricane.. The game was moved to 10a and it was hot as hell but the fans still came. Hurricane ain't the problem.

Ah, yes.

No difference between a game played before the hurricane comes through and a game played after literally the strongest hurricane to ever hit Louisiana.

Can't understand why some people who lost their homes may not want to attend an LSU vs Central Michigan or LSU vs McNeese St game?

LSU sucking at football is the reason foe the poor attendance this year.

And the Covid bullshite.

And how much of a nightmare it has become getting to and from Tiger Stadium the last 10 years.

LSU football is best enjoyed at home.

It’s foolish to think vaccine mandate doesn’t hurt attendance....I refuse to buy products or shop from entities that promote mandate BS.....this sentiment is of the majority.....

The COVID-19 attendance protocol is suffocating the enthusiasm along with the team performance of the first two weeks. It’s time to end the virus restrictions so that whatever enthusiasm that can be generated by improved team performance will result in freely attending games without the leftist tyrannical atmosphere

LSU is acting like they are located in California. Covid surge is s plummeting and people are dealing with post hurricane. Is LSU going ride this absurd policy all season? I wouldn’t give the university a dime right now. Karma’s a bitch.

That definitely sounds like a quote from someone living in BR and not further east or south of there. A bunch of very supportive Tiger fans are still hurting from the storm. Quit being a dick. You're comparing a hurricane party to picking up and rebuilding your life. Not the same

The App State game in 2008 is not a good comparison. Post Hurricane is a lot different than pre-hurricane. \

Not all of us live in Baton Rouge.

Except it's not a mandate. No one in the stadium needs to be vaccinated as long as they show a negative test.

Well we won a NC in 2007 and Gustav was not Ida.

Gustav decimated Baton Rouge and was the worse storm to hit BTR since Betsy in 1965.

The issue now is two fold. There are people displaced due to the hurricane in areas like Houma who may not feel like a game with central Michigan is a priority right now plus the hotels are filled now and they have cancelled reservations people had for this game. Add covid related issues (Concern for exposure, vaccine/test requirements) and a team that does not engender excitement for many. You have what we have now. The Auburn game will be a much better barometer to me.

Gustave was a Cat 2 Hurricane and not due to hit for two days after the game I assume you are talking about.

This is the truth. Add in the weather, and you get probably 55k...which is well below what all of those factors (other than the covid shite) used to mean.

People are getting accustomed to not going to games. The days of LSU having the best game day atmosphere are basically over...minus the HUGE game in which we have a legit chance of winning.

It all changed quickly.

People are still dealing with Ida. So I'd say it's not an afterthought at this point. Just because BR didn't get hit hard doesn't mean that plenty in the fan base didn't. I know people that still don't have power, no roof on their house, or house was destroyed.

Mix that with 2 weak opponents that's what you get.

Yeah I don’t buy the hurricane excuse. It’s a combination of the covid bs and LSU just not being good. More so covid though

I know plenty of people who don’t want to have to pass through nazi checkpoints where they force you to share your health records just to go to a football game and won’t return until it stops

It's the vaccine mandate and the wokeism of LSU now. You think people were joking when half of TD said they wouldn't send their kids to LSU now? I love LSU but I'm done supporting them financially until they stop this this horse shite.
yeah, never thought I would say it, but I'm glad my daughter chose to go to Arkansas. (No pics)
