Whoever downvoted?

Smaller schools don't get exposure when they play the Louisiana State University?

La Tech, Southern, UL Monroe, Northwestern State, Southeastern

All of them get exposure when they play LSU.

So we should play Tulane every year in Tiger Stadium or we don't play at all.

Same thing that's in it when we play any in state school. Exposure

A football game with Tulane will not give us any more exposure that we couldn’t get somewhere else. It would definitely give Tulane great exposure though.

Neither does a game with La Tech or UL Monroe but we played them.

Those schools always understood their place in the pecking order. You must not remember the brawls that came about because of playing Tulane.
Never had that problem with the other in state programs.
LSU is run by pretty capable people. When it is advantageous to schedule Tulane again I’m sure they will.

None of those schools demand a return trip though….Tulane doesn’t understand their role here.

Why would we do anything to help an in-state school?

They had their chances
1) in SEC
2) as a regular rival

And blew it. Be gone Greenies

If they want annual they can come to Tiger Stadium. We don’t do home and homes with G5 programs

At best every 3 or so years we play a game in the Dome and take majority proceeds

I have no issue with playing them from a competitive standpoint, but they want return games and that’s a hard no.

Yulman doesn't make sense because the capacity is too small.

Maybe the Dome as a permanent site but then we're giving up a home game.

They won't and shouldn't agree to a lopsided split because they can get better deals elsewhere.

2 at Tiger Stadium 1 at the Dome with split proceeds

That isn’t even fair considering the crowd will be 80/20, if that. When we played there in 2007, the done was half empty.

That's why I said play the game every year in Tiger Stadium for the money.

Would be the same thing as paying a school like UL Monroe or La Tech almost a million dollars to play at Tulane with that small stadium.

The only way LSU should ever do it would be if it was agreed for the away trip to be in the dome and 50/50 split on that away revenue.

I do agree that it’s an easy win (shame on us when it’s not) and way better than playing any of the other LA schools.

Do two for one. That is what big schools have done in the past. Do two in TS, and Tulane's in the Dome.

No thanks, so we can bring 80/90% of the fans and get 1/2 the revenue?

IMO, we should play Tulane annually. 3 times in BR and the 4th in the SuperDome with tickets split 50-50 and NOT a Tulane home game.

We don't want to do that...don't give them any platform from which to show. Back when we played them yearly, they generally were terrible and it was their bowl game. And our guys weren't very motivated to play the game. Never was good for the Tigers...even with a win (which was expected) it never was a plus for us.
