They would have been held to 20 points. Being held to 20 points should win you a football game, arse hole
Didn't mean anything personal.
So that game would have been moved from the losses column to the wins column. The point of time of possession not wearing out the defense still stands.

What’s TOP does is limit the # o possession the other team has.
Long drives and HUNH with no chance to sub out do more to gas a defense

They can? Jesus jumped up and down ree. Any motherfricking time someone points out stats you don't like you call that person a lying hating motherfricker.
You're the worst fricking poster on the rant. And whoever's in second place isn't even close to you.

It's about what the offense DOES with the ball. As a DC, you don't want the offense to go 3 & out, but you don't mind if they SCORE quickly!

Yet, I provided quotes of YOU saying it.
You said:
"This does not mean the defense does not share any blame in the UF and aTm loses. Hell, Aranda admitted so himself."
I never said the defense shared any blame or it was their fault.
For the 20th time - I simply pointed out that the defense was not worn out because of time of possession.
I don't understand how it is so hard for some of you to comprehend simple statements that are made. You get so bent out of shape trying to twist everything that you forget what the discussion is even about.

You can’t conatantly tell ppl they shouldn’t criticize our coaches while simultaneously bashing one of them all of the time. Your agenda is so transparent it’s laughable.

You posted the facts that show when we win time of possession we win more often.
Are you really this dumb.

Oh, and it is not totally for self entertainment purposes.
Even though the idiots don't seem to have a clue what they are even arguing - they are learning - whether they know it or not.
It's kind of like my thread about LSU's new running backs. Since LSU fans have such a huge case of penis envy I simply put USC in the subject and got EVERYONE to read it, did a post comparing LSU's RBs to L. White and R. Bush. This was partly because it was before LSU's guys had signed and I put in on the Rant.
Anyway, like usual the morons had to read every word to find stuff to go ballistic about. Started with Bush giving back his Heisman, then the USC 2003 championship, then USC cheating, then it being a while ago since USC was good, etc etc etc, all the while personal attacks on me being thrown in.
Since then I have seen some of the things I stated be repeated by some of the very idiots who hated every bit of information I provided. I think I may have even seen LSU's guys referred to as "Thunder and lightning" just like the USC duo.
Besides being fun and entertaining at the time of the thread it is also satisfying to see the results pop up down the road on the board.

Did that cause the LSU defense to be worn out even though the LSU offense had more time of possession than Florida?
Of course it can, and one can't just look at the final TOP.
Turnovers late in a game causing the D to take the field again can be a game killer.
At LSU you'd think the D would be conditioned for these short bench periods with all the 3nOuts late in games due to conservative playcalls.
You should mention in next meeting with Ed that Arranda needs to attend to this defensive stamina issue in the offseason in preparation for next year's offense.

A great defense on the field for 3/4s of the game will give up yards.

In LSU's losses - time of possession:
LSU 30.24... Florida... 29.36..........L 27-19
LSU 24.42... Alabama... 35.18..........L 29-0
LSU 28.3... Texas A&M... 31.3..........L 74-72
Hyperbole? Yes.
Without merit? No.
ETA: That Bama number is particularly concerning for both sides of the ball.

It’s the offense. It’s always the offense even with late melt downs against Bama twice at Tiger Stadium. Even with 4th and Chavis. Even with defensive blown plays against ND last year. It’s LSU. It’s always the offense.

Great post and research. Numbers make the point very clear with no speculation.
