Velez is a point guard, can’t be any worse than Poa give her a shot when the game means something.you never know maybe that girl may give us a spark . She definitely cheers her teammates on.

As hard as this may be for some to understand, I’m going to let the coaches decide who plays.

I guess you missed the memo: the Rant's collective coaching prowess espands FAR beyond football

I’d have to think if she was good enough she’d be paying right now. I don’t think Kim is sitting her just to be sitting. Kim has been on record saying they want to play more people but some are not ready or up to par yet. I mean it’s hard to argue against when the bench has been in this year at times and they have not performed at all.. beyond Poa and ADR at times

Similar to Bartlett who was a four star recruit in her third year who just sits every week and passed up by freshmen.

I agree 100%... glad there wasn't much social media during my career. I would have made all of basement keyboard coaches mad because I never listened to anyone who tried to tell me how to coach or who to play.

Thought Poa would be able to give us solid minutes at point guard-she has not

I wonder if Velez will remain at LSU if she continues to not receive opportunities to play.

Good Lord man he's just trying to discuss an idea. It's not like he expects it to be forwarded to the coaching staff

Velez looked slow against the directional schools we beat by 60. I don’t think she’s the answer.

Maybe I’m overly optimistic but I thought Kent looked good every time she’s played. I’m surprised they can’t use her for a few minutes.

If she can’t play over poa that tells me all I need to know

The team is talented but the top players positionally overlap one another. Mulkey is finding a way to make it work. After last year confident she will. No one wants to see this team come tourney time. Remember 22-23 team played an historically easy schedule, lost by 24 to SC, and bounced by TN in SEC tourney before making their Championship run.

She drives me crazy when she is on the court. She runs around like a chicken. Doesn't know plays and once she gets the ball she never passes even to an open man. I trust Mulkey!

Even Poa isn't getting PT much anymore. Hopefully in this stretch of 9 games plus the SECT, we can get some bench time. We already have 3 losses, 1 more won't kill us .

I think Kent is more the 3rd off the bench for now. Not sure if Velez struggles with offense or defense, but as little as she’s playing tells me there’s a problem somewhere.

Too many turnovers and bad defense whenever Velez came in. Kim hates bad defense and turnovers, she will quickly take away your minutes. I think the 3rd one off the bench will be Kent, she has high potential, she is quick and can score. She hasn't played enough minutes to showcase her skils yet. Next year could be Kent's year to step up, Kim likes her a lot.

Kent can play defense

At 6’1, she is long and physically has the tools. But she needs a off-season to refine her shot, her perimeter shot has been a struggle this year. She is a true freshman. If she sticks With it and works hard she will be a contributor eventually off the bench

Poole getting the boot and smiths injury are really hurting the depth

Have you looked Poa turns it over to with tight D, Valez is quick and i think they should share some backup mins and Poa can play off guard in spot mins. Kent should be getting about 10 to 12 mins a game.

With lack of depth we get tired and make stupid fouls
