Thanks for your service. I'm awaiting the formal agent announcement before I get excited about next year.

So this team had one for sure first round pick, another possible first round pick and another future NBA player but couldn't sniff the tourney? Great coaching job JJ

shite, it's dead to me until we squeeze the trigger on a new AD.

you really think Alleva had a chance to pick someone else? I'm no Alleva apologist, but dude has been undermined on a few things. F King on the Miles deal and then he was told he had to hire JJ. Now, it may be his fault that he didn't have a bigger set of balls to tell them no..... but if the money is saying yes does he really have a choice?

I've said it several times.... basketball isn't going to be worth a shite until you tell daddy dale and the god of AAU to go frick themselves with regards to what happens on the basketball court at LSU. Let Temple keep threatening to not bring kids here.... frick him and his shady arse. i respect dale, but its time to tell him to lay back and watch. no more input from someone who has been out of basketball for 20 years.

On the bright side the more likely that next year will be a disaster the sooner we can kick Jones to the curb and start over

the 2016-2017 LSU basketball season is going to be such a dumpster fire that jones will likely be fired in the middle of the season

Why do yall think he is leaving? If he does t sign with an agent, he can enter and return under the new rule.

My guess is that he is just testing the waters to see where he is at.

TQ has the skills to be a solid pro

TQ's problem is that he only feels like playing basketball a few times a year

Lol.... I wonder how Victor is gonna enjoy being a point guard. At least for a quarter, until he fouls out.

As a side note: probably 25% of the fouls called against him were phantoms. Did the refs just have it out for inside big men this year???????

Yea the draft is very weak but he isn't being looked at a first pick. This shows the love the players have for Jones. If Blakeny leaves, Alleva really needs to pull the trigger. What a shite show.

Read the first sentence of the OP... It says he's hiring an agent. He's not "just testing the waters", he's gone.

Nope. Don't see him getting drafted. Too many lazy passes resulting in dunks for the other team.TQ was downright awful for most of the season. Would be a complete wasted pick.

Quarterman has the measurables that NBA teams like. It's why he started to get recognized as a potential draft pick in summer camps last season. I think he goes to pre-draft camps this year and performs well enough to get consideration as a potential mid-early second rounder. Much like Jordan Mickey

He had a poor season this year, but I don't see NBA teams holding that against him. If nothing else, the Simmons debacle this year and Mickey's rise up the board last year has created a negative inference towards Jones. The scouts/GMs are going to say these are talented players playing for a weak D-1 coach and that is why they didn't perform to their ability. It's the opposite of what you might see with, for example, a Duke player, where scouts may feel the player isn't that good, Coach K just got the most out of him.

Analysts are going to rip Jones for this season once Simmons re-establishes himself as the clear No. 1 pick. They ripped Jones last year for underachieving with two guys taken in the top 33 of the draft. If TQ performs well in pre-draft camps, then it's over. No great player will ever want to come to LSU again as long as Jones is there. They will seem him as nothing more than an anchor holding them down.
