Historically, what football team is considered LSU's greatest rivalry?

Historically, Ole Miss

Since Saban, I’d say Auburn. There have been a lot of close/fluky/heated games in the past twenty years

Recently, Florida, no question.

Ole Miss is correct. Beer Jones and Archie started it and thank god it still continues. Go to Hell Ole Miss. I feel bad for the bears and land sharks PR move though.

Pre-Americana(1950's)
Auburn and Tulane

50's and 60's
Ole Miss and Tulane

70's into 80's
A&M and Arkansas

90's into 00's
Florida and Auburn

That remains today. Bama is no rival. We just hate them. Florida & Auburn are equals to us whether we wanna admit it or not.

I honestly think for the foreseeable future... the great rival will be A&M... they will get better.... the recruiting war and the last game of the season....

The LSU administration and the LSU fan base is a great rivalry, but it's been lopsided recently.

Tigers have never had a "great" rival.

deepest hatred goes to whoever is best in a given period

Ole Miss in the 50s
Alabama 70s and since Saban returned

Tulane was in state rival but never really good enough to matter

Pre-1950.

Tulane voluntarily left behind big time college athletics. They might have declined anyway, but they walked away.

Auburn should be our biggest rival today. There isn’t another team we play consistently that has games as good as LSU and Auburn. It’s one of the games I look forward to every season
