Tiger Stadium View Close to Field

Long story short, been a season ticket holder in section 413 for 20 years now.
My pops is getting up there in age and making the trek to our seats in 413 row 39 is not that easy.
I’m happy to splurge a little on tickets for his ease of access. How’s the view on the east/west 10 rows or less. Is play blocked from the team?

Not a good view. Watch more jumbotron than what is on the field.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll probably go with lower bowl uppers 10-15 rows or less.
Always knew this day would come and I’m ok with that. He’s the reason I love this LSU family.

Yea, 10 rows and down, you cant see anything at all. Had row 1 tickets for the 2010 Tennessee game and endued up just going up to the first concourse (about 30 rows up) and following the action down the field

quote:Being at the game is less about the view and more about the experience. The best way to experience the atmosphere is as close to the field as possible. Been sitting in section 207 several rows up my whole life. And now it's even better with the view of the south endzone expansion. I'd prefer my seats over west side 50yd line seats any time.

On the pro side you see a lot of stuff on the sidelines you font see up top like former players, coaches chewing arse, player reactions , etc.
On the con side you have no depth perception of what is happening on the field and you cant see the far sideline or EZ corners. So you are dependent on video replay and LSU is the absolute worst stadium of any sport I have attended for video replays.

I have a pair in 421 row 6 for sale if interested

Why not stay in the end zones, but low? You will see the action, but field position will be a challenge. Better than not seeing though.

I am in West Side SEC 103 Row H or 8th row and I absolutely love my seats. I have no problems seeing over the team. Yes, we stand up and down some, but that just adds to the excitement. You are close enough to hear the action. A portal is right next to my seats where there are bathrooms and concessions in the immediate area. It is absolutely worth the experience!

Row 13-20 would be my choice for best view closest to the field. In the past, I’ve sat in many areas of the stadium. I’ve sat on the first few rows before and I’d not do that again. Currently row 17 and I’m happy.

Honestly, I would get some handicapped seats in the west upper….they are stellar seats and you can get two and sit beside him every game.

The view is absolutely terrible. Don’t do it.

The handicapped sections in the uppers have good views plus an elevator.

I've sat in the second row on the 50 yard line before, and it's probably the worst view I've ever had at Tiger Stadium. Couldn't see shite.

On West side low rows the experience is great but you can't see everything. On east side you get the visiting bench. You have to be at row 25 or so to see the whole field.

I have season tickets about 30 rows up. I haven’t been in a while but from what I remember the first 15-16 rows having to stand up to see over the teams on the sideline

This is row 19 from aviewfrommyseat.com - I sit on row 17 now. I personally wouldn’t sit too much lower. It’s an individual preference thing. I would just go to a site where they allow you to view the field from individual seats to get an idea where you’d like to sit. That’s what I’ve done in the past.

Off the topic Southern Mississippi does not have a football team to compete in the SEC but they have the best stadium in the country to watch a game. Bar none.

In the last decade money has become such a big part of the game recruiting these players teams like USM and others just don’t have it.
