FWIW, my biggest issue with the West side pre-renovation was that it was merely "blah" and lifeless....it had no character....I think the additions they are making will add some character/life/color.
I do agree, though, they need to get rid of those window slats....it makes the West side look "permanently" under construction. There's got to be a better more aesthetically-pleasing way to shade the sun.
All-in-all, though, I am really excited about all of the things they are doing to the stadium....The stadium is looking better by the day.
ETA: and for the people above that claim that Alabama, Tenn, Auburn, etc have much better exteriors, that is a claim of someone that haven't seen their sideline exteriors. Tennessee's now looks better, but alabama's sideline exterior is hideous, arguably worst in the SEC. And any comparison of Auburn and Tenn to Tiger Stadium is laughable considering the materials their stadiums were built with.

I seem to remember Gameday setting by the PMAC with the north ez behind them before...truth or am I imagining this? (I know they frequently set up on the parade grounds)

They did, but that was 2003 and earlier
