It's coming. From my understanding, the only actual downside to this is that the original stadium lights help with the moisture on the field. Outside of that, LSU has an opportunity to amplify the atmosphere in the stadium. Common resistance I've seen from fans include "we shouldn't need this" or "we don't need to be like Bama", to name a few. Place your articulate thoughts below.

Crazy how in 2022 we don't have technology to both.

Also crazy that we have 2022 threads on this.

The lights or the fact we don't have them?

Or the fact that grown adults can't keep talking about it?

Can't wait to hear the non-sports fans melt over it. When I worked as a line cook in college one of my coworkers had a giant rant about wasting city money keeping the stadium lights on at night and during the offseason. He might be somewhere having an aneurysm if he finds out they're installing these

I'm fine with the lights so long as we upgrade the video board and audio system as well. Those should honestly come first

Nothing is wrong with it.

“Traditionalists” here say the noise is what makes Tiger Stadium magical.

While that was true 10 years ago, butts are leaving the seats in droves by halftime, including students (who are the loudest)

Adding a light show will keep students engaged, players hyped, and recruits in awe.

Anyone who wants the boring, stagnant, quiet band atmosphere we have now just doesn’t get it.

LED lights is for stadiums that can’t move the earth.

The people that don't like the lights are also most likely "get off my lawn" types. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it and like I said the other day, it's for the kids. Recruits and players like it. Nothing else matters.

But it never rains in Tiger Stadium so put up the LEDs.

Do recruits/players like this kind of stuff? This is a lot of money just because Alabama does it.

can’t have that, it might impede the normally smooth traffic flow through BR

Notre Dame is playing on field turf. I think we can install some lights.

Well, at White Sox games, I know they have to put a warning on the scoreboard before they turn them on so no one has a seizure.

I've said before, these lights are cool for like a game or two, then you just kind of ignore them. There are likely several other things that should be done to improve the gameday experience before adding fancy lights.
